The Raleigh Marriott City Center is a great location for exploring downtown Raleigh. Plenty of interesting sights and great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly. We especially enjoyed ending our day with a cocktail in Rye bar. The bartenders were super nice, drinks were good, and the food is excellent. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere, Marriott quality, and a great location.
Like my Ex Wife

Like my ex wife, if you don't expect too much out of this Marriott, you won't be disappointed. Look, we're in a different time now, during the Late COVID Era, when finding workers is the most difficult thing a business can do. I appreciate that, and in this new world, it is imperative that we all reset our expectations. If we receive anything better than Late Soviet Bread Line wait times and service, we should all be happy. I get it. Checking in was smooth on what appeared to be a slow Monday. There were two men working the desk and I noticed that as they took care of the live customers in front of them, the phone kept ringing. As there were only two of them, I figured that was to be expected. I got to the room, and it was directly across from the elevator. Sub optimal. So I picked up the phone to call the front desk. It rang for a long time. Ah, well. So I went downstairs and stood in a short line to talk to the desk person again. There was nothing he could do. Okay again. On the plus side, I was impressed with the quiet of the HVAC. That was pretty cool. See what I did there? But seriously, it was really quiet which is nice. On the negative side, the service in the downstairs restaurant was also pretty slow, and the caesar salad with salmon was warm romaine smeared with mayonnaise. Not too much rusty lettuce that I had to pick out, but some. The one waiter was very nice tho In sum, if I had to go to Raleigh again, I'd stay there, but wouldn't expect much out of the average.
I would stay here again

Very nice hotel and wonderful front desk staff. Did not like that people were maskless all over including crowed elevators, despite signs that masks were required and only 2 people in elevators at a time. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The air conditioner is quiet and the beds and pillows wonderful. There was not a bathtub in the bathroom which was really my only disappointment. I really enjoyed my stay, would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, great location, great valet service (thanks Chris and Raaf!) to prevent worrying about parking downtown. Easy walking to restaurants and enjoying the best of what Raleigh has to offer. I would definitely come back!
Wish I was here longer

Stayed here for 1x night on a business trip. I arrived late at night and was greeted by a er helpful and friendly guy on reception. Room was spotless with no areas for improvement. Breakfast the next morning of a very high standard and once again, excellent staff. This hotel is expensive but worth the extra few dollars.
