This Red Roof has the worst customer service oriented front desk. Through an error, the charge card I used to reserve my room expired and I did not arrive until 10:00 p.m. I was told my reservation was canceled and in order to rebook, I would have to pay way too much for the value of a Red Roof room. While we were sitting in the lobby trying to book a room at the same hotel, the desk person told me no other rooms were available. We were not told there was only 1 room left. And they didn't offer us that room prior to selling it. I will NEVER use another Red Roof Inn!!!!! The Days Inn up the street was much friendlier and offered me a room at the same price as my original booking at Red Roof. Buyer Beware!!!!!!

Disappointing in many ways

Upon arrival, there were no handicapped parking spaces, and one of them was occupied by some people sleeping in a car, which also happened the next night. At the desk, I was not greeted with "hello, welcome to RRI, do you have a reservation" or anything like that. I was greeted with "last name?" I gave it, the clerk did some paperwork, handed me a page to sign, then gave me 2 keys and said "enjoy your stay". I was not given a copy of my receipt. I looked at the keys, and then asked her what my ROOM number was - she replied "oh I didn't write it on the keys? my bad'. She did. Didn't tell us where to park, where the elevators were, or sorry for the inconvenience, etc. Very unprofessional. When we got to the room, it smelled of stale smoke, even though we booked and paid for a "smoke free" room. The hallway and elevator had an obvious (fresh) odor of marijuana. The room was comfortable enough, other than 4 small, flat pillows. I did notice a silverfish crawling across the desk the morning we left. On our first morning, we came down expecting breakfast (as is advertised on your own Google business page), and on your website as "complimentary coffee in the lobby" -- NEITHER of which occurred. So I went to the front desk where the clerk was on the computer, and a person looking like the housekeeper was sitting on the counter in the back of the front desk area. I asked about breakfast - and the housekeeper burst out laughing. Yeah - joke's on me. The desk clerk said "uh no, there's no breakfast". There wasn't any coffee in the lobby as described, either, so I went to my room and made my own coffee in the pot I brought from home. (the pods you provided had 1 regular 1 decaf, no cream except powder, and 2 bags of sweetener. This was for 2 people for 2 nights. Impossible). When my husband was loading the car and I was packing up, I noticed a silverfish run across the desk. When I checked out, I was told "you're all set" - not thank you for staying, how was your stay, have a nice day, and no copy of my receipt was even offered. I did get an emailed copy later. I noticed a charge on my bill for a "safe fee". I wrote and asked what this was, and no one responded to me. If this is for a literal safe to keep things in, we never used a safe. In fact, I don't know if there was one in the room or not. In addition to the people sleeping in a car in a handicapped spot, no coffee in the lobby or breakfast despite your google page, the ice machine on our floor didn't work, and the only vending machine required $1 bills or quarters. People were smoking pot on our floor and probably the elevator - in a non-smoking hotel. The adjoining room (which we did not request) was very loud, especially noticeable as they watched porn over and over, very loudly. (That's how we knew it was porn - when the 'storyline' started over and the same 'dialogue' was repeated!) Finally the lack of courtesy and professionalism from the front desk staff (and the housekeeper laughing AT us), the lack of advertised breakfast and/or coffee, smell of smoke throughout the facility when advertised as smoke free, the insect on the work desk, the non-working machines -- all made for a very unpleasant stay. We will never stay at this particular Red Roof again!

ok for a 2 night flop only

I really wanted to like this accommodation as it had a fantastic location close to the interstate and downtown, but that was about it. The employers were nice but this is a no frills stay. You got a room with a squeaky and lumpy mattress. It definitely could have been cleaner. The floors were gummy and sticky. The bathroom did not smell, but it just didn't look very clean. You had to get your towels at the front desk as there was no room service until you left. Snack and food machines will take your money....if they are working at all. Coffee bar in the morning only had sugar, no creamer. So the 2 stars I gave it was for nice employees and location. Remember, you get what you pay for and not a thing more!

My short vacation

My husband and I just spent four days and three nights at this hotel. The hotel is wonderful. The staff was great, the beds were soft and comfy. We never knew that anyone was on our floor. I would highly recommend it to my friends.

My Review

Reviewed 23 may, 2020

I was overall satisfied with my stay. My customer service representative Gayla did a great job checking me in‼️ She put me in one of the renovated rooms which was nice overall. Not a big fan of the style sink they chose to use, I like having more counter top space, shower pressure was excellent. I was not pleased with the fact that I had to leave a deposit and was told it’s because I used a 3rd party app to book‼️ I know this is nonsense and the real truth is for another review altogether‼️My room was on the 2nd floor and as I stepped off the elevator, was greeted with the overwhelming scent of marijuana as I was also told at check in this was a 100% smoke free motel, which is the reason why I choose to stay here‼️ Here’s a thought: Maybe this hotel should do like other hotels I have stayed at and keep locals out or charge them more to sway them from renting a room in the first place then customers don’t have to deal with noise and non compliant people that ruin the experience for others‼️ This is part of the reason you ask for a deposit, to pay for the stupidity of those that steal from you and ruin your renovations to rooms that some like me actually enjoy‼️ Also, why should I be punished for saving money as I travel for my work by using 3rd party apps when locals come in to party and do things they can’t or wouldn’t do elsewhere because they have no regard to others and eventually enough bad reviews will hurt you overall then the only people left that will rent rooms are your undesirables‼️
