We stayed at the omni in July the 3-6 , we have stayed in the past and it was one of our fave places, this trip changed it all, the first day we were there was group of guests at the big pool who were intoxicated and being so inappropriate my husband confronted one of the men and it turned into them calling me names and saying they were going to put me in the ground, they threatened my life infront of my children 8 and 5 and my niece 4. I went straight to the lobby and talked to the manger along with another gentleman. They asked me what i wanted to do about it and i asked them for the guests to be removed from hotel. Again they threatened my life and were calling me every awful name they could. The hotel did nothing when i told them that if anything happened to me that would be on them we had police show up, i was so emotionally distraught that i did not make a report i now know i should have. The guests were rude the rest of trip. On July 5 we had a cabana by the beach area in splashtopia, my 8 yr old son Racer was walking back towards us and walked into to a cement bridge he split the top of his head open fell backwards and split the back open the firman and ambulance guys and girls were amazing but we had to go to ER where is head was stitched up. The bridge is low with no padding or caution signs i will include a pic. The hotel failed on keeping my family safe twice now. I was charged full price for an awful experience the hotel manager Asim did nothing the corporate office did nothing Shayla Johnson was rude and inconsiderate and has never followed up with me. If you care for your fams safety do not stay here.
My first visit but it won’t be my last!

Beautiful grounds and accommodations, I can’t say enough about the property and staff. We had a wonderful time. I am a Black Level member and I have been to many Omni properties and this is probably now my favorite, Rancho Mirage Las Palmas! The pools were gorgeous and relaxing. The grounds were meticulously kept and our room was stunning. The staff were very accommodating and had an attention to detail. Many thanks to all those that made our trip so enjoyable especially in these trying times. I felt safe, the staff seemed to follow all safety protocols.
Room with Multiple Cockroaches!

This was our second time visiting this resort. First time, kids had a great time at the pool and we had no complaints. This time around we were disappointed on so many levels. The kids activity schedule is a joke. Day of check in the person working at the front desk told us they were cancelled until the following day. Next day arrives and we were told they were cancelled again due to low occupancy of the hotel. Finally on our third day, they had kids activities; however, individuals working the activities had no clue about the schedule we were given at check in which was a bummer for my toddler who specifically left the pool to attend one activity. When we asked each time the individual working the activities, "yes, we are setting it up now".. 2 hours later it finally happened. The major disappointment was our room the MULTIPLE COCKROACHES!! First one was in the shower curtain and it was HUGE.. second one was in the middle of the day it was running across the wall. My toddler said multiple times during our stay that he saw a "pincher bug" but I didn't pay much attention to it until he pointed one out and it was a Cockroach! We went to the front desk who replied "oh we are so sorry about that but they are common in the desert" I've stayed in palm springs multiple times and have never seen a cockroach in my room before. Definitely was not worth our money to stay here; the service, cleanliness and guest experience failed on so many levels this time around.
Ditched Camping and Got Pampered

We were supposed to be in a camper in Joshua Tree this Labor Day weekend (3 nights) with our two kiddos under 10. With 120 degree weather before us, I asked my husband where the nearest pool was. That is when he confessed that we need to execute Plan B- the Omni La Palmas. I do not regret it.
Our room was in Bldg 27- off the beaten path but a stone’s throw to Splashtopia. Perfect. Our room overlooked the golf course and had a king bed. Very comfy. Not plush, but nice. BTW our room was soundproof.
We ate at the Palms Cafe- coffee, muffins, açaí bowl, oatmeal- met expectation. We had breakfast and dinner at BluEmber- exceeded expectation. I didn’t think it would but I am so happy we stayed at the resort to dine. They surprised us with a kid’s dinner buffet- which saved us from two hangry girls
The Splashtopia water park was perfect for kids AND adults. The lazy river was my serenity. We rented a Cabana and it was worth every penny; three lounge chairs with high-Ned towel covers, mister, fruit plate, bottled water and two cocktails came with the rental. I secretly with my 4 year old didn’t have a melt down at 4pm, forcing us to leave my hubby and 8 year old to enjoy. They also showed kids movies each night at 7:45pm.
I look forward to returning!
Take a Chance!

I have to admit I saw a lot of deeply concerning reviews prior to our stay, but truly I have really no complaints about our time at the Omni Las Palmas. Faith greeted us warmly at check in and was very helpful, our room was upgraded at check in, and our unit was nice and cool upon entry. The food from BluEmber pleasantly surprised us on our first night, in fact we enjoyed our entrees so much we went back a second time and ordered the same exact things!
We hit the Azure Pool at 9 a.m. and it was quiet, serene and the Pool water was nice and cool as well. The palm trees around property were lovely to look at, and created a fun environment, and I also really enjoyed the froze at the Pool, highly recommend!
I saw lots of comments about how this resort is out of date, old, not worth the money, etc., but to be honest I thought the property had nice classic spanish/rustic California charm and nice landscaping for the most part. Our room felt cozy and homey, not like a hotel room.
Overall, the highlights are:
1) Food- BluEmber steaks, cauliflower bites (seriously SO GOOD!), Mac and cheese (phenomenal!) and the tropicali drinks (we couldn’t get enough…so delicious!)
My only complaints are:
1) Azure Pool in the Evening- there was no lifeguard on duty and one child our first night was hitting people in the head with one or those strong water shooters…not relaxing really and there were tons if flies around for some reason, I also feel like the area in general could have been cleaned a little better, there were cigarette buds and just some mess around.
2) In Room Showers- the shower heads had a strong water pressure which sort of hurt, and our shower drained SO slow creating a bath of water while showering, sort of not ideal.
3) Pool Restrictions- we would have liked to hit the Pool early again our day of check out, but unfortunately that wasn’t allowed due to COVID.
I’d say if you’re looking for a laid back lowkey get away, take a chance on Omni Las Palmas!
