This place is so filthy! Manager will not return calls and when I asked about a cleaner room, I was told they just didn’t have another room. However, the parking lot was empty. Bathroom has mold and filth all over. Table had food smeared all over. Bathroom door is supposed to be white, but it had filth all over it. Main door also had greasy fingerprints all over it. Toenails or finger nails all over the floor near the bed. The sheets have piling/little balls all over them making them feel like sleeping on sandpaper. I am not a complainer about a hotel room, BUT this one was one of the worst, ever! So many other choices in Rapid, skip this dump!

Clean Comfortable Quiet Room

My only complaint is that I couldn't stay here longer. The hotel is clean, modern, and comfortable. My room was quiet. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Great stay. Convenient location. This hotel is on my "visit again when in the local area" list.

Newish hotel, so the rooms are still looking clean and well maintained. Nice light color scheme. Kudos for the large amount of storage space and the number of outlets/USB ports. Bed/pillows were comfortable and there were ample towels in the bathroom. Plenty of free parking and conveniently close to the interstate, without any traffic noise. Too bad the same can't be said for the noise outside my room, other guests running down the hallway (actually, stomping down the hallway) and the inconsiderate amount of noise coming from the adjoining room. Although I understand the hotel can't control that. Check in/out experience was good and the staff sent txts to see how my stay was going and were quick to react to any points raised. Now the not so good stuff. New hotel, but the air conditioning/heating is not central. They have those large units under the window which are noisy and somehow are always too hot or too cold. Housekeeping service is only provided after 4 nights, or upon request. Pre pandemic, all hotels provided daily service unless the guest declined service. 'Privacy' wasn't considered an issue back then and it's time hotels stopped using the pandemic/privacy as the excuse not to automatically provide service. Hotel occupancy and rates have returned to pre pandemic levels, so the service and amenities provided should also return accordingly. I did receive service as requested, but they didn't replenish the amenities I had used, the shampoo/soap containers on the shower wall were empty and the dishwasher was full. When I said the guest shouldn't have to empty the dishwasher they said it's left full so the guest is aware that the dishes are clean and unused. Again, this isn't something that happened pre pandemic. Dishwashers were emptied by housekeeping and guests rightly assumed that the room, including the dishes/silverware, had been thoroughly cleaned. I'm just tired of hearing these excuses. This is a good hotel in terms of the facility but the sub standard service is letting it down.

Great Location if You Have Children

This hotel is connected to the Watiki water park, so there are children everywhere. Also, it’s outside of Rapid City, so not convenient to restaurants and the downtown area. The breakfast is packaged food, for the most part.

Bad Management - not recommended for people traveling through

We like to stay at Home2 Suites when we need two queen beds and a sofa bed. The kitchen amenities are nice if we decide to go to the grocery store and make a nice meal. Unfortunately, after staying at many Home2 Suites, this one was poorly managed and dirty. Upon our arrival, I notified the front desk (redhead lady - mid-20s to mid30s) that our room had only one fork, two glasses, and no blanket for the sofabed. Although she supposedly noted the missing items, nothing was done to rectify the situation. We decided to order take-out and get disposable utensils from a restaurant. We had to ask again for a blanket after waiting 3 hours. The next morning, I told the front desk again that besides the missing items room, there was no shower gel in the bathroom and the door to the bathroom made a horrible noise whenever it was closed. The lady at the front desk just asked if we were staying another night and that she would send someone to fix the door. The room cost just over $300 for one night. Too expensive a hotel where the personnel cannot address simple requests. The breakfast was also mediocre; garbage was overflowing, tables were dirty and the only selection for milk was fat-free. Maybe they have a worker shortage too besides incompetent management. I didn't say anything about the breakfast area to the front desk (other people were complaining); I just ate elsewhere.
