We had a great stay at The Lodge. Staff were super friendly & welcoming, & our Premier Suite was spacious, nicely decorated & enjoyed lots of natural light from several windows. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by golf course. We didn’t come for the golf, the hotel was recommended to us by friends who live locally & the purpose of our visit was to hook up with them. As a consequence we didn’t use any of the hotel facilities or have dinner, but breakfast was excellent, complemented by efficient, personable service.
Amazing front of house, restaurant in evening needs some work

I’m over from the USA for a funeral. I grew up in chipstead and my mother is still local so this was an ideal location to visit her and friends in reigate. First off: an amazing welcome by the receptionist. She was lovely. She was relatively new to the role (but has worked in other hotels) and you could tell she is incredibly talented at talking to guests to make them feel at ease and at home. The room: decent size. Great to see a mini fridge (didn’t use) an espresso machine, water and biscuits. The only thing that befuddled me was the lack of extractor fan in the bathroom. Cleaning staff very friendly. Breakfast: included in rate. Options. I had poached eggs on toast the first day & full English the 2nd. The mgr was friendly. The young guys need a bit of training in recognising needs of guests standing at the bar. The bar / restaurant is for golfers and guests- I’m a member of a country club in the USA and the service by the younger people here needs improving a little. Just some confidence I think. Evening meal: brought my mum up for a burger and I had fish and chips. Both good. But table needed wiping down. They had had a wedding and I think they were running around like crazy. I’m finding that venues that host weddings (I’m at a country house right now) just drop the ball on the regular guests which is a shame. Overall I was pleased with my choice and I would be back again: good value for money, friendly staff, free parking, free Wi-Fi and a room with good facilities
A hiccup via Booking.com but a great stay

My wife booked us a 2 night stay at The Lodge for my 50th birthday after covid caused a trip abroad to be postponed. She found the accommodation on Booking.com and we received confirmation for a Deluxe family room with 1 single and 1 double bed, she hoped Deluxe opposed to standard would mean a real treat for us both On arrival we were dissapointed to find a standard (a very clean, comfortable but underwhelming standard) room with 2 single beds. My wife was frustrated and very disappointed and expressed her disappointment to a receptionist and 2 managers at the front desk. Housekeeping quickly arrived and zipped the 2 singles together put a double top mattress on and hey presto double bed. Back at the front desk the difference between Booking.com Deluxe and the properties premier rooms were discussed and agreed that, that had been the problem with our booking. There is no Deluxe family rooms at the property and the management agreed to investigate and hopefully address the problem with Booking.com. The management and receptionist were unable to do anything for us on night 1 but arranged for us to move for night 2 into one of the properties executive rooms, which definitely did have the WOW factor she was after. The king size bed was massive, the balcony overlooking the golf course was a beautiful place to sit in our complementary robes after a soak in the beautiful deep bath in the amazing bathroom which had his and hers sinks and a great separate rain shower. The room was definitely Deluxe and to avoid disappointment I would advise to book the executive room on the properties own website not through Booking.com. We had breakfast both mornings in the clubhouse and although it was a little disappointing with no cereals, pastries, croissants etc the clubhouse full breakfast consisting of a sausage, bacon, beans, tomato and 2 eggs with a slice of toast was cooked to order and delicious. The property is in a great location, we used it to visit Epsom Downs racecourse a taxi cost £17 between the 2 and would highly recommend the place for anyone visiting the area.
Family weekend review

Myself husband and two 23 years old stayed for two nights at the lodge, what can I say apart from brilliant!! We made a weekend where the lads could play golf as well as attending the race meetings at Epsom. It was a last minute break as we were due to go to Spain but unfortunately has to cancel! The hotel is outstanding, the location is great, and the food is brilliant. However, more than anything it is the people that make this hotel, from when I made the booking over the phone, talking to a lady called Steph, and the receptionist who was on shift when we arrived and the next day (apologies I did not get her name , but she has teenage children, and long hair and was on shift on the 29th and 30th) who was amazing!! We will definitely be coming back as soon as we can, there was absolutely nothing I could fault. Thanks you soooooo Much for making this a fantastic couple of days for us as a family xx

We stayed as a group, the hotel is set on a gold club. The hotel is small and quiet. Our room was fine although the double bed was a very small. Breakfast you have to pay for and is in the county club restaurant. Nice views over gold course.
