From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff on reception were professional every time we interacted with them, happily providing us with an electrical adaptor ( I’m out of the travelling habit and had forgotten to pack ours), and offering to get us coffee as we waited to return to the airport, early in the morning. They are a credit to the hotel. The room, a superior one, was on the 4th floor and was large and comfortable. It looked out over the city and the hot dog stand, but we didn’t hear any noise during the night. The bed was comfortable and there were enough pillows available. The bathroom was large and the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast, was excellent, plenty of choice both hot and cold and again the service was friendly and efficient. We ate in the hotel restaurant Brut, and were delighted with the choice and quality of the food on offer. Once again the service was friendly, and the staff were happy to make changes to our booking. I cannot praise this hotel enough, from the staff to the room, everything was superb, and the location in the old town makes it very convenient. Thank you. Thank
Most unfriendly staff in a nice hotel

We’d been wanting to stay at the Radisson but for a long time it was undergoing a massive refurbishment. The new hotel is beautiful, the junior suite is large, nicely furnished but it lacks is finishing details. Nice gym, the restaurant is fair. All that said get get ready for unfriendly, aimless, untrained staff. In general the attitude at the restaurant makes you feel unwelcome although you might be alone. The question is would you rather have unfriendly service in a nice hotel or the opposite? For sure We won’t stay here during our next trip to Reykjavik

The location was fantastic. Right in the centre of everything.. You had all the cafes, restaurants, local convenience shop, pharmacy all within 3 min walk. The marina was also 5 mins walk away as was all the tourists attractions. We booked al our tours via this hotel and the pick up point was only 4 min walk from the hotel. The beds were so comfortable we could sleep for ages! They had a café downstairs that served drinks. Staff were very friendly and kind and gave us free water around 11pm when the local shop was closed. There were 3 of us in 1 room and 2 in another room. Plenty of space in the room but the wardrobe space was a bit small. Large bathroom with lovely hot shower. Will 100% recommend this hotel.

Scruffy reception staff Booked a twin room not a double Expedia advertised breakfast included and it wasn’t Having to leave notes to get courtesy creamers And coffee I emailed in advance to recommend where we could have Xmas dinner … you recommended the Brut… I told them when I booked it I was vegetarian… the dumb waitress tried to force me to have fish … is she so thick ? Vegetarians don’t eat fish .. there was nothing on the menu for my 14year old granddaughter… we walked out and could not get in anywhere else … try explaining to my granddaughter tgat all she had for Xmas dinner was a bag of crisps from the supermarket and chocolate and some strawberries….. she cried all evening because it was a disappointment… Her memories of Iceland will be eating crisps for Xmas dinner and having to share a bed with her nana…. I visited Severn years ago and the quality of service food and hotel was definitely five star … this is only 1star .. You have lost the quality with your refurbishment…
