More about the hotel
A 4 star hotel - you must be joking?!
I'll start with the few positives - good wifi, comfy bed, decent size room. The rest was either poor or terrible. Disorganised reception - booked a quiet twin, got a noisy double as near to the busy roads as was possible to get. Mediocre restaurant with very limited, unappealing choices. Poor quality breakfast with unhelpful staff. Bathroom with mouldy ceiling, cracked tiles and scratchy towels. Swimming pool with green slime round the waters edge. Neglected and unkempt grounds. Need I continue? I appreciate that Covid 19 has made it difficult for the hospitality industry, but other hotels we stayed in, on this holiday, seem to be managing very well. Accor need to take heed and up their game. Covid safety precautions were not a problem, basic attention to quality, detail and customer service was the issue here.
Good stopover on return journey
Stayed here on return journey from Italy with Shearings. Have been here before but it has had a makeover since and is still quirky and colourful and pretty wonderful in décor, very unique. Games like table football available in a separate room. Wished we could have stayed more than one night. Excellent included 3 course meal and breakfast in the morning. Staff friendly but did not speak at all just smiled so I guess no English spoken but very pleasant. Room very nice with free bottle of water in fridge.
Great Stay. Fun vibe!
Stayed here for one night en route to Switzerland. Very swift check in, staff friendly and helpful. Great decor, really funky environment with quirky things to do like photo booth, giant table football, art pad to draw on etc. Really fun vibe. The standard room was very clean and neat. Tea and coffee facilities available. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever! Like sleeping in marshmallow clouds......absolutely wonderful. Breakfast fantastic. Great selection of breads, cheese, croissants. Also eggs, bacon, sausages on the hot counter. Plant milk available. Lovely choice of French cuisine. If your a fan of tea.... great tea variety on offer. All in all a lovely stay. Very enjoyable and would plan to stop again if visiting this region of France.
Quirky , fun hotel
We used this as a stopover hotel on our way to germany . Rooms are spacious , warm and cosy. Friendly staff. Breakfast is buffet style and lots of choice. The dining area, foyer and reception are full of quirky items from records fixed to the walls , to paint brushes on display to bicycle wall displays. Well worth a visit
Very Disappointing
We stay a lot at Accor Group hotels and my husband is a gold card holder which is why we booked here. A four star hotel with a bar, restaurant and good rooms - perfect to break up a long journey. The room was fine - clean and comfortable. However we arrived at 4.30 pm on New Year’s Day to the news that they had closed the restaurant and bar and were not serving any food to customers. Worse still the receptionist suggested we could drive around and try to find something open (!!). Having lived in France for 20 years we knew this would be difficult on 1.1 hence choosing a four star with a restaurant. They should have explained there would be no food at the time of booking. We were hungry. We have since complained to customer service and received the reply that Accor customer service can only pass our complaint onto the hotel and not resolve it. We have not heard from the hotel, two weeks after contacting them.
