We Didn't Think It Could Be Better - It Was

Reviewed 10 august, 2022

We stayed here for three nights on our way home from the West Coast to Edmonton. We had previously stayed here and posted a glowing review. Nothing has changed. This property is as amazing as ever. The first time we were here, we all said "Wow" when we checked into our 1 bedroom suite. We walked in this time and said "Wow" again when we discovered we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. We thought the one room was the master bedroom - it had it's own huge bathroom (with tub and shower), king bed and tv. Nope - that was the second room. The master bedroom was huge with a small sitting area, a closet you could sleep in and it's own full bathroom. Did we mention the heated floors? We faced the pool last time and faced the front road this time. It was definitely quieter being away from the pool but noisy during the day thanks to the construction across the street. The mountain views were just as nice though. The beds were super comfortable and the whole living space was fabulous. The only downside to our particular suite was it was very dark at night. I don't know if someone took a lamp or what but it could have used one or two more lights in the living area. If you like to cook, you will love the kitchen. High end Miele appliances and everything you needed to make a good meal. We had just come from another hotel that had a pitiful kitchen so a fully stocked kitchen was a very welcome treat. The pool and hot tubs were just as I remembered them - fabulous. And warm - really warm. Normally you freeze going from the hot tub to the pool. Not here!! The activities were just as good. Our kid enjoyed the Aerial Park. The Pipe Coaster gets really really busy (which is probably why they are building a second one) and just walking around the area is nice. We had breakfast in the village once - it was ok. Every other meal was in our kitchen because why wouldn't you? This is still a fabulous property and one of my favourites. I really look forward to next time.

I’m nearly speechless!!! Excellent staff on check in. Excellent amenities. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Hallways smelt like a good dream! The only suggestion I could make is being it’s a resort out of town a bit maybe have a few kid things to do. We were there a few days and already took in everything on site so we didn’t want to do that again. That left the pool pretty much. Maybe an outdoor film or scavenger hunt? Regardless we enjoyed our stay and have no complaints.

Fabulous apartment!

Our apartment was HUGE! We had been disappointed on arrival at other hotels on our road trip, where wide angle lenses had obviously been used for the photos and the rooms ended up being tiny, but not at Sutton Place! We had 2 big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a big kitchen/dining/sitting room, a laundry room and a large balcony with a 6-person table. And bearing in mind this hotel was such good value for money compared to all the rip-off places in Jasper and Banff! The pool isn’t huge, but it was a real treat in the heat. There was also an amazing coffee shop underneath our apartment selling delicious pastries for breakfast and a restaurant opposite. We didn’t eat there but did go for cocktails in the sunshine. Favourite hotel on our entire 3 week road trip. 😊😊

What a wonderful stay! The property beat our expectations! The room was absolutely perfect and flawless. The hotel in general is perfectly maintained! Our room was a one bedroom, with a soaking tub, living room, laundry machine, dual bathroom vanity, patio and near full kitchen. Plenty of space1 We had a great stay. The bed is super comfortable too! I have a lot of great things to say about this property and will definitely stay here again! The staff were all fairly nice. There are things to do on the property and this property in general serves as a good jumping off point for activities in the area. It is about 10 minutes from downtown if you want to head into town. We were comfortable just staying at the property and relaxing.
