Lunch

Reviewed 22 november, 2021

What a little gem food was amazing great price Unfortunately there is a complaint the lad that was serving was extremely rude . We phoned to check if we needed to book and her had no manners and very Curt when we got to the pub and ordered drink he still felt uninterested . We then got the same lad to take our food order and 4 went for lamb burgers one a pizza and 1 pie . We noticed on the lamb burgers there was an option to add onion rings for a pound . The meal was amazing good quality and ample . We got the bill and noticed we had been charged £10 for onion rings instead of £4 when we approached the lad he was extremely rude and dismissed it as our error when I showed him the menu price he tried to blame us . At this time I decided to drop the issue and just except it not wanting to ruin our day. The member of staff needs some training on how to be a better barman and face of a great business. We came on Tuesday 24 November 2021 at lunch time

Lovely local pub.

Reviewed 28 october, 2021

Such a friendly pub. Really reasonably priced drinks and food. We really enjoyed the meal we had. Lovely friendly staff, we went in every evening for drinks. The pub had lots of locals in, as well as tourists like us, this gave it a great atmosphere.

No Covid rules

Reviewed 25 july, 2021

Not following any covid rules, felt so uncomfortable inside we had to leave. Bar staff either wore masks under their chin, on their wrist , or not at all. No track or trace, and allowed customers to walk around without masks. When I asked for the bill I was told I had to queue and pay at the bar even though this is against the rules! Will never set foot inside again.

Beautiful vegan meal

Reviewed 19 june, 2021

I was staying in the area and The Lamb and Flag was recommended to me. I'm vegan and had the Vegan Shepherds pie which was absolutely delicious, the best I've ever tasted. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this pub and look forward to going back there.

Accomodation

Reviewed 3 april, 2021

The rules have finally lifted where we can go stay in hotels in Wales, which is great and I only paid £28 for the room but usually the rooms are more than that. I went into my first room and it smelt stale, the wifi wouldnt work, there were 2 strands of hair on the toilet seat and ball of hair on the floor near the shower, I went to fill the kettle and pushed the cold tap on and it wouldnt turn off and was gushing out. Went to the owner in the next door chip shop and got moved to another room which was better to be fair but the windows were so thin you could hear every car and lorry passing as if there were no windows and it's a busy main road, the blinds were dusty, there were stains on the top throw on on the bed, the kettle plug couldn't reach the nearest plug so had to boil it on the floor, water was freezing in the shower for ages (waste of water), there were cracks in the mirror, wifi still didnt work and the owner said he was going to reboot the wifi and never came back and I didn't get wifi my whole stay, when the heating came on it made a long high pitched noise for about 30 minutes.. I'm glad I only paid £28. It's a shame because I was really excited for a stay over and it was a lovely area. Positives.. nice area and tv worked.
