The worst experiences we have had in a hotel like this.
This hotel is in a great location in the center of Richmond B.C. The service in the front office was friendly and good, not great. We had stayed in room 1705 for more than 30 days. The room was big, with a kitchen, a dining table, a desk, and a sofabed. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, the carpet was dirty. The housemate will come to have the towels and bed sheets changed once a week. The TV in the living room was a bit flaw, it has a dark spot in the middle of the screen; so the face that appeared on the screen looked black, though the person was white. The hotel has a gym, a hot tub, no sauna. there were only 2 treadmills in the gym, but both were broken. The hot tub was in low maintenance, the water was with a lot of bubbles and the water was cold-warm. The most horrible things happened twice in November. The first one happened in the first half of November. The fire alarm sounded awfully in the middle of our sleep, at around 1:50 am. We called the front desk and the guy answered had asked us to evacuate immediately. So, we dressed up warmly, brought our passports, and walked 17 floors down to the lobby. It would be okay if we were young to walk down 17 floors. But, we were both over seventy (70) now. try to picture this yourself. The fire truck arrived but only stayed for no more than 10 mins. and left. It was a false alarm. Another unfortunate incident happened again in the second half of November. The fire alarm sounded at 5 am. So we called the front desk and the guy answered told us to evacuate at once. So we did the same thing as the first one. This time, the fire truck did not even bother to come. It was again a false alarm. Next time, when you travel to B.C. Think again before you try to book with this hotel. Thank you.
Great Place. Great people
I fly into Vancouver 3 and often 4 times a month for work and always have a 1 night layover before my charter flight. Because of this I have stayed at most of the “airport hotels” as I need to be close. For the most part, I have always booked through booking websites as I try and get best deal. With that said, I also want good, clean accommodations with a few certain amenities that I need. A restaurant on site, airport shuttle, good wifi and so on. From there, you come up with preferences but nothing set in stone because as I said, I mostly based my stay on the best deal possible. Since staying here I have to admit that I have changed my thinking on this. When you stay in hotels this often, things start to be more relevant than cost. In addition to having all the amenities that I need, service, attitude and a desire to ensure that my stay is a more than pleasant experience, no matter how short, has definitely taken a spot on my priority list. The staff here, second to none. Always inquiring what I may need or if there’s anything they can do to make my stay as pleasant and efficient as possible. In these times of adapting new life styles, I find that some parties use the current obstacles that we face, as a reason or excuse to cut services and amenities with no apparent desire to get back a full service state. Pools, fitness rooms, inclusive breakfasts etc, all not available at some major big name chains with no real reason for this in the stage of re- opening that we are in. Well, they’ve lost my business and I’m quite alright with that because I’ve found a much better alternative. In short, if you need a great hotel, near the airport, with a staff that care to retain your business... This is it!!!
Room quality, Location and Price
The decor in our room in the tower was very nice; the bed was very comfortable; the location is perfect for Richmond Hospital which I needed and the price is unbelievably low for everything we got. Plus, outside Covid, the morning breakfast is the most delicious selection I've ever had, and the Carvery Restaurant is a must. I want to eat there even if I'm not staying in the hotel! Plus the staff are all kind and efficient. I really like this hotel.
Stayed here many times and will continue to do so.
With Richmond being a good central location for working in the area, I tried several other hotels in the area before staying at the Executive. I had a wonderful stay then and every other time since then, this is definitely going to continue to be my go to hotel when I am in the area. I really like the one bedroom suites as they are spacious, well equipped (important for me as I like to pack most of my own food) and very quiet. the staff is always friendly, the parking is secure and the beds are comfortable. That's all I need. Enjoy your stay.
Extended Stay
We needed a hotel in Richmond near our apartment that was getting renovated. The Director of Sales Maswood arranged an excellent long-stay rate within minutes, and even gave us a tour of the 2-bedroom/2-bathroom condos. They also arranged direct billing with our home insurance company. All of this was very much appreciated. Room 1509 was perfect for 21 nights, full kitchen and also a work desk. The staff was always very helpful and we had no complaints at all. Thank you so much Maswood and Laura!
