Great stay at Downtown Richmond Hampton IN

Great service and a large comfortable room. Easy parking and a great location for walking to restaurant s. . Mark, the Assistant General Manager was especially gracious and friendly. He always greeted us by name when we were passing through the lobby.

It was a little confusing at first with the two hotels together but once in we got it down was no problem. great location to walk to places and the staff was great! (Mark) the way they did the elevators was pretty interesting

Nasty Bathroom, and still waiting on my refund

This hotel was the last stop of a 7 day road trip. Out of all 4 Hilton properties we visited on our trip, this was the worst. While the front desk staff was very nice, the room itself needs attention. It was a bit run down and the air conditioner vent rattled all night. The beds were comfy so that was at least one decent thing. However, the bathroom was disgusting. Long dark hair on the shower walls. Layers of soap scum. Unidentifiable gunk on the outside of the tub. Rust stains streaking the walls from the dilapidated grab bar. Stains in the bottom of the tub. The drain wouldn’t stay open. I immediately chatted the hotel through the Hilton app. Still waiting on a response 2 weeks later. I called the front desk and was told the housekeepers were all gone but they’d make a note in my account. The next morning, I went to the front desk and rather than a refund being issued right then, I was given the business card of the Assistant General Manager, Mark Cacal, and told to call him. I sent Mr. Cacal an email and included the pictures of the nasty bathroom. 2 days later he responded that he was sorry and would issue me a full refund. I waited. And waited. A week later, I sent him another email because I was charged for the full amount of the stay. He ignored it. I waited another 2 days and he has yet to respond or refund the night. So much for the Hampton guarantee. I worked for Hilton previously. I would have never let a guest leave my property unhappy and paying full price for the filth we encountered. I literally had to clean the walls before we could shower. Poorly done, Mr. Cacal. I intend to reach out to the actual GM and to Hilton Corporate. Richmond is a beautiful town. Just don’t stay at this property. Pictures of the bathroom and my chat are here for your viewing pleasure. Mr. Cacal, I’ll be waiting for your apology and my refund.

Excellent rooms and excellent people, easy to check in and check out, you can used the app or going to do with personal in check in/out, breakfast was good...all the service was great and the prices good.

I experienced poor room conditions, no hot water in room, air-conditioning not working properly, sanitation of room bad, Leaning on bed not that clean, and Internet issues, bad smell as you came into the hotel.
