Stayed in Sept. '21 evac'ing from a storm. We needed a place that would accept pets, had a kitchen, and a bedroom with a door. This place fit the bill.
After booking, I read some of the reviews here from the spring and the reports on cleanliness were worrying. But my experience was different. The hotel was general clean. Only minor cleanliness issues in my room, just a couple of out of the way surfaces that needed dusting. Sheets and towels were clean, kitchen was clean, nothing left behind from earlier guests, or anything like that.
It is an extended stay brand, and due to Covid, there was no daily housekeeping, so guests naturally put bagged trash out in the hallways, but staff was pretty quick to pick that up.
Otherwise, a pretty typical Residence Inn, though certainly not the nicest I've stayed at. The hotel sits between two other extended stay hotels, across the street from an auto repair shop, and the back side of a Lowe's behind it, so no nice views to be had. The pool overlooks the parking lot. The staff at the front desk weren't especially friendly, but other employees I encountered were very nice.
Overall, I didn't love the place, but it met our needs, and I'd stay again in similar circumstances.
So Bad We Changed Hotels

This was a work trip with 8 of us staying for the first week and another expected 15 people showing up for multiple week stays. We stayed one night and had to leave we all had such a bad experience.
The lobby appeared ok but the front desk girl was anything but interested in working. Walking to our rooms, the hallway rugs could use a major vacuuming, not to mention a good shampoo.
The room itself seemed dark and outdated. The kitchen space was decently sized but the bedroom area was cramped.
The kitchen drawer with the silverware was filthy. The utensil holder had some sort of gunk in it and hair. The coffee pot was burned and there was old water in the pot itself.
The carpets had stains on them. The bedroom utility door that is usually dead bolted shut was not locked so whenever the air kicked on the door would get sucked in and bang.
The toilet would not stop running and the shower head was hanging down loose so you couldn’t adjust it. This didn’t end up making a difference though because when the shower was turned on it washed the ceiling instead. I tried calling the front desk starting at 5 am and no one answered until 6:00.
The same trash of empty beer boxes stayed in the hallway for the night and the full day after. Cleanliness just does not seem to be a priority for this location. The stairs down to the parking lot were being used by many people and were in terrible shape. The edging was coming loose making it easy to trip if you’re not careful and the rugs themselves were in terrible condition.
Our experience was all shared the next morning at work leading to the decision to change hotels. No one was happy at this hotel and any extended period of time would not be enjoyable.

Physical facility is good. Pool and spa area closed to use, not cleaning rooms during stay, and breakfast is pretty pathetic. They had no sugar during our stay.
Seems they are hanging on to Covid excuses. Hard to understand why not cleaning is good for Covid. Many hotels have figured how to provide a decent breakfast in spite of Covid-19. Time to move on.

We stayed in this hotel in 2014 and I said I would never stay there again. While searching for a hotel, I looked at the pictures they had and didn't recognize the hotel, so thought I had not used this one before. Wrong! This was a terrible place! Worse than the last time. Dirty! The carpets are filthy. The furniture in the rooms is filthy. The rooms are beat up and furniture damaged. Getting towels is like finding gold. None to be had. Sheets, toilet paper..hard to get. Don't ask for a blanket. I would volunteer to vacuum my own room. Couldn't get a vacuum. The dog got covered in fleas from either the yard or the room. I understand with COVID the breakfast would be minimal. There were frozen sausage biscuits some mornings and pop tarts and cereal bars some mornings. Only a few was put out, so you had to hurry. Staff was very nice, but this property does not measure up to what you would expect from Marriott. I will not make a mistake and stay here again!!

Staff is friendly but scarce when needed. It appears that the property is currently undergoing renovation or possibly has been renovated recently, but it still seems a little worn and not up to par with housekeeping standards. Our room was superficially clean but surfaces were dirty and I do not think our floor had been vacuumed recently as it appeared dingy.
Also, there were no sundries out for purchase which is usually customary for Residence Inn, so that was kind of disappointing.
I like the Marriott Brand in general but I hope that this particular property can improve in these areas.
