Property: On the old side. Very little landscaping. Small lobby. Good size breakfast area including lobby seating in front of a TV. One elevator for three floors, slow service. Hand sanitizer dispenser in the lobby and on the third floor were empty. Staff: Poorly trained and not cheerful. Desk clerk did not acknowledge Gold status or offer bottled water until asked. Overweight and glum. Fitness room, business center, indoor pool, fitness room and laundry. The pool is closed. The business center has two computers and a printer in a separate room. Internet speed is adequate at 17/18 Mbps. Breakfast: Well stocked. Scrambled eggs are in square chunks like powdered eggs were baked in a cake pan. Two of the three cereals were sugared. No granola. Great cinnamon rolls. Fitness Center: One elliptical, recumbent bike and treadmill. A set of dumbbells but no balls or bands. No floor mats. The floor is padded carpet. No water cooler, but does have fountain. No gym wipes, but does have paper towels and a spray bottle. No gym towels in the room. The clock is still set on daylight savings time. No TV but two of the equipment have screens. Room: Standard size king. I hate Holiday Inn Express pillows. They are two fat. Even the "soft" pillow is bulky. Good mattress. TV does not have a TV guide. Good desk chair and room chair. Dark carpet. Clean.

Fiance and I stayed over night a few years ago. Enjoyed the large room with hot tub. Went back and was disappointed. Hallway has bad odor, room was not cleaned. Dirt on tub, dust on all surfaces, hair in bathroom. Old towels also left in hallway overnight at a room down the hall. We did get a discounted rate, after telling management about the condition of the room, but probably wont return.
Good facility; staff needs a pep talk

This is a COVID-19 review, meaning that we understand that certain amenities must be curtailed, but also that the hotel will have COVID-19 precautions and that things not affected by the pandemic will continue as normal (e.g. a friendly staff). We stayed here on our way back from a long trip. The facility is just off the freeway with ample free parking. There are about a half dozen fast food places nearby and some sit-down restaurants within a couple of miles (with their own COVID rules). The hotel is relatively new and the rooms are generally nice. There are lots of plugs for electronics and flat panel TVs, all good. I think that they tried to make the hotel safe from a pandemic standpoint - good - with, for example, hand sanitizers by the elevators, no drinking fountains, etc. Still, I think the staff were a little tired of that as reflected in signs posted crookedly, etc. The room was good, with, for example, granite counter tops in the bathroom and a comfortable bed. The view out our window was towards a hill rather than the parking lot, which we appreciated. We had a louder group in the room next to us. I can't entirely blame the hotel for that, but did wonder why we were put in adjacent rooms for a hotel that only had about 20% occupancy. My issues? A couple. Breakfast was included, but it was pretty Spartan. We ended up driving up an exit or two and going to a Tim Horton's. The old signage was there for hot breakfasts, but everything they had was basically cold and there were no employees in evidence. One other review notes that you could ask for a prepared breakfast, but we saw nothing of the sort. We didn't expect full service, but we wanted something we could eat, even a muffin or bagel. An employee paying attention to the breakfast room would likely have restocked some of the missing items. Second, the person behind the desk in the morning (Cathy) was surly and not wearing her mask properly. A mask doesn't work unless you breathe through it. In a hotel that had otherwise done many COVID-19 prevention things well, it was odd to see an employee disregarding basic safety protocols and left us with an unfavorable final impression. We might stop here again post-pandemic. We're all tired of the virus, and I think the hotel management started out with good intentions, but from our perspective they need to re-invigorate the staff.
Not Very Clean

I am not a huge germaphobe but I do expect general cleanliness. When we arrived I was impressed by the size of the room. It was huge. But once we started unpacking we realized it was not as good as the size. There was a child’s, obviously worn, sweatshirt in the drawer. Which means they were not wiped out. There was a spider hanging from the ceiling. One of the wash clothes were dirty and there was a used tissue stuffed back in the tissue box. When I went to get coffee in the morning the front desk clerk acted like I was interrupting her conversation when I asked for creamer. We ended our stay a day early and moved on. Not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but definitely not as clean as it could be especially during a pandemic.
No sleep at all

They use this hotel as a construction crew quarters. Which means between 4:30am and 6:00am its a mass exodus of loud guys slamming doors and walking around like bulls in a china shop. At least stage these guys on the first floor so they dont wake up everyone below.
