Horrible experience from start to finish
Reviewed 25 october, 2021
I’ve stayed at this hotel previously several times on business and each time was fine and without incident. This time however has been horrible from start to finish. And I haven’t even gone to bed yet. Upon arrival, the check-in clerk/restaurant hostess couldn’t actually confirm for me when the restaurant would stop serving. Apparently it’s one of the few restaurants open in Rochester on a Monday night and both the dining room and bar were full. When I finally got a table, I was seated on one side of a partial wall which on the other side the kitchen staff was slamming silverware down. For like half an hour straight. There was a short reprieve and then back at it slamming silverware, drawers and bins. For a “fine dining restaurant” and the price point I’d expect the waitstaff to be better trained to know to be quiet. Also the service was just ok to sub-par. Lacking attention and knowledge of very basic service concepts. They should go to restaurants in Florida to understand how hospitality is actually handled well. Then the room circus. Upon arrival I requested a room not near the elevator. What did I get? A room directly across from the elevator. So back downstairs with all of my bags to the inattentive check-in clerk/restaurant hostess who got me into a different room. Once inside I see the thermostat was set at 68F and bumped it up to 72, then went downstairs for dinner. Upon returning after dinner, the temperature was still 68F. Calling downstairs yielded the same check-in clerk/restaurant hostess coming upstairs to fiddle with the thermostat, say she doesn’t know how to fix it, and then says she’ll move me into a different room. 3rd room is a large open concept corner room with the bed in the center of the room with a tacky 1980’s wrought iron headboard up against a glass partition separating the bathtub, shower, and sink area. Ewww. Just Ewww. I’m not in Las Vegas. Thankfully the toilet at least is in a closet button itself. This room is SO tacky and bad I can’t even begin to describe it. The heat does at least work in here but we’ll see if i can even get to sleep. Absolutely horrible experience here and I will never come back on business ever again.
Overall Amazing experience

We stayed for a night for a concert we were going to and it was a great stay. The room was top quality, it was clean (the bathroom was spotless) and Philip at the front desk was so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for places to eat since we didn't know the area very well. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else
Not worth the money

We stayed at this inn for our anniversary and lets just say the room and food was overly price for what was offered. If you are advertising a room as "luxury", that is what it should be instead of mediocore and no breakfast offered. I have stayed in better hotels for less.

I took my husband and our children to the Tournados steak house at the Inn on Broadway for Father’s Day because it looked upscale and had beautiful pictures in their website (old construction and history) If you want to eat here I recommend TAKEOUT ONLY the 👩🍳 was amazing, ALL OF IT was delicious but the staff was terrible they lack customer service and professionalism At some point I was confused on who was the customer and who was the employee 😂 The waitress was asking me what I wanted to eat from the other side of the table, I asked her a few times to repeat herself because I couldn’t hear her and she would not move closer to me, instead she would roll her 👀 My toddler spilled water 💦 on the table and they didn’t dry it or brought me more napkins I was taking a picture and catch one of the staff starring at our table 😂 I don’t know if they don’t like children or Hispanics with an accent or if they just behave this way with everyone I don’t recommend this place to anyone
Charming old Inn

This is a charming Inn in a downtown area with free parking adjacent. Although the Inn seems a little worn, it is still very lovely, with a fireplace seating area, restaurant and bar. Our room, 310 was large and had certain amenities like robes, water available for $3, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, tub and shower (no safety bar) and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom sink was badly cracked and there was a lot of wear and tear in general. But it didn't bother us since overall the room was comfortable. There was a coffee pot but no refrigerator. The only real problem we had was the huge drafts that came in from the window on the cold night we were there. We had to raise the heat to 74 to make the room comfy. I would still return. The staff is very friendly.
