More about the hotel
Just Okay
Stayed for one night per a work event. Hotel is located conveniently near the highway and by a couple of restaurants. Receptionists are nice and professional. The Good: WiFi, modern and spacious room, “breakfast” (coffee and a couple of packaged treats. Not bad) The Bad: Bedsheet had a strange yellow stain in the middle. Didn’t feel like bothering staff at midnight to remedy this.
The worst of Rockford!
Staff is very rude. Always have random strangers outside. Manager barely spoke English and was very aggressive. Never bring your children there. Unsafe!! And nasty. House cleaning never showed!staff did not help with anything.
Forgettably O.K.
We stayed for 1 night at the Comfort Inn in Rockford, and now, 11 days later, I don't really remember anything about the stay. That must mean that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I remember some oddly confusing vending machines near the office. Overall, it was a good stay, and I do remember the price being reasonable. I'd stay there again.
Visit with family and grandchildren
Stayed at the comfort inn hotel in Rockford Illinois on Argus Dr from the 23rd or January to the 26th for a visit and my grandsons first Birthday. These are some of the pictures of the bathroom of the hotel. The conditions were deplorable and the room had a strong odor of paint. The first night there the front end clerk argued with me for 15 min because I had some of my family come over to visit and I was told that my 3 granddaughters could not use the pool for a little while. Then he said only an hour and not a minute more and he was also going to close the pool early that night,The pool room was empty. The clerk also said I was violatng fire codes and my kids could not stay in the room and had to be gone by 10pm. I informed him that they were only visiting me for a little while. The pictures posted are from the bathroom and the on on the wall was a worker from the hotel. It was nice to have a bug visiting me during my first night. I had to have my room relayed 6 times during my stay. My last night on Saturday, I arrived back to the hotel later in the night and they could not even salt the back parking lot and as I got out of my truck down I went and slid down to the center of the lot. There was no one but the same jerk as a clerk at the front desk and I was in no mood to argue with him again. The next morning I was leaving and informed the woman at the desk about the Ice and the conditions that night and she did not seemed concerned at all. She stated that she did not have time to salt down the back parking lot it still was like a skating rink. The hotel needs to be revamped and was rundown and poorly maintained. I called the comfort inn and choice hotel home office to lodge a complaint about the conditions and what happened. I informed them that I had pictures of the room and the conditions and how I was treated. They informed me that there was nothing that they could do for me and hung up on me. This was their corporate office that I called on top of that..... I would advise everyone to stay clear of this hotel In the Rockford area . Comfort inn 7392 Argus Rd Rockford I'll 61107. Customer along with the Choice hotel chain and its subsidiaries. Horrible customer service from this company and will stay elsewhere from now on. Wanted to share my experience and the lack of professionalism from this establishment and the company.
Newly renovated, ...... almost
The room was newly renovated and was quite nice with a huge bathroom. The doors to the rooms open out into the corridor, which is the opposite of most motels. Odder still was the bathroom door which, when open, completely blocks the door to the corridor. The breakfast area was still a construction site and staff struggled to keep it stocked with food and too many people for the small room milled around. Once the renovations are completed the small area may accommodate more people.
