Room service disappointing experience
The most disappointing burger I have ever tried. Tasteless, looks more like a sandwich and chips instead of fries.... To order something to eat from the main menu before 11 AM is impossible. They offer only breakfast. By the way, breakfast menu is not mentioned anywhere, you will find out what is offered only by calling. Room is small, but cosy and clean.
Should be much better!
Kind staff but some of them a bit "lost" or not used to work in hotel. Bedromm attributed was with door communication to another room when we required to have room without communication door to another bedroom! Room standard, but, windows were dirty outside like a hell. Really not acceptable Fridge was lighting on and off during the night, I had to unplug it!!!! Bed was noisy Shower room was hold and marked on toilet seat with paints drops and other marks.... Floor corner and wall completly destroyed by humidity from shower. Not at the level of a Mercure 4stars. Far far away. Resturant: 2 dishes of penne with ckicken for one, vegetables for my the other, 2 glass of wines, 1 coffee=52 euros!!!! A robery! Breakfast without fresh fruits, very small range of choice. Pity 150 euros night and 52 euros diner+19 euros parking. Very expensive for what it is....
Old, dated and total lack of ambience and services
One night for transit via CDG. Early flight next morning so I decided to stay at the airport. The hotel is not really directly at CDG. It is a 10min taxi ride around the area. This is supposed to be a 4-star facility, but I really felt like checking in to a hotel in Eastern Europe before 1980! Not very welcoming staff, nothing, absolutely nothing open in the hotel: bar closed, restaurant closed, swimming pool and gym closed. Not a word about that when booking. I felt ripped off, especially since the rate was rather steep, and both the hotel and the room felt like it was old and outdated with no ambience at all. I asked the reception staff if there was restaurants in the vicinity, but they did not know and wanted me to use their room service. Well, I am a seasoned traveller, and quickly found that there was a Holiday Inn next door (3min walk) with open bar and restaurant. IHG saved me, and I realized I should have stayed at Holiday Inn, mores because I am top tier Spire Elite and would probably had some perks there. Never will I stay at a gloomy, unfriendly and dated Mercure again.
Hotel stole our money
We booked a room for March 22. Minutes later we received an email thanking us for our stay on March 18 and our card was charged for the room. Totally ripped off. Then I called. And they picked up the phone and immediately hung up. Over and over I called. We had no choice but to find another hotel.
Letter of thanks
Hello I would like to thank the receptionist (man) who worked at 22.03 in the morning. We stayed at 21-22.03 and when I left in the morning I forgot the necessary papers in the hotel room and at the airport I discovered and called the reception and the man took pictures of the papers and emailed to me. I'm very happy and I hope my thanks go to him.
