This November me and my loved one decided to celebrate it in Italy. So we went and designed a nice route all over Italy, we started of course with Rome. I have been in Rome before but not like this time. Now I had more time, therefore, i would need somewhere nice to stay.
B&B Alex, it is a great place to stay mainly because of its amazing location. We literally walked to the centre as it was so close. However, I do feel like there is an opportunity for a little bit of improvement. The service was great but could have been more friendly and attentive, and also I think that the rooms and its amenities can be upgraded. I mean for the price we paid It was worth it, but it could have reached a 5-star rating if it had these things looked at.
I also wanted to say that the breakfast was a bit poor but once again it is a very cheap room, therefore, no reason to complain.
Extremely noisy on weekends

I'd like to point the niceness of the staff before complaining - not everything was bad. But you can hear people shouting and massive vibrations of the music coming from the club downstairs until 3am on weekends. Lots of drunk, annoying people in the stairs, really feels like a youth hostel vibe. Then, noise starts early IN the hotel, with people coming, talking loudly and cleaning with great noise in the morning. We slept 2 hours, and paid way too much for this. Rooms are basic.
Good for a short 1 or 2 day stay in Rome or if on a tight budget

Location is great on Via Palestro just a few min. walking from the Termini train station (also where the buses from the airports arrive) so access is very easy. For the price ($27 USD for a double room in January) the room was comfortable (good bed) and bathroom nice. Only drawback is that Yellow Hostel's bar (YellowBar) is located on the ground floor of the building and has music going every night till 4am. The room was rather warm as well so be sure to ask for the a/c remote if you're someone who gets hot easily. All in all a good option for a quick stay in Rome or if you're on a tight budget and want a private room at a hostel type price (but don't want to stay in a dorm room). Would recommend bringing ear plugs if noise bothers you. Owner/manager was very friendly also.
