Good value for money
Perfect for a stay in Rome. Guest House on 6th floor (elevator present) of an apartment building. Reception not permanently occupied but before we arrived we received clear instructions regarding check in. The rooms itself aren't noisy but the small entrance hall is. We were woken at night by other guests coming 'home' and/ or ringing the doorbell repeatedly 2 nights in a row. The neighbourhood felt a bit unpleasant at first but that fealing proved to be unfounded. Pros: - Rooms cleaned every day. - Helpfull and friendly staff. - Airconditioning Cons (for us personally): - No fridge in room or hall (f.a. to share with other guests) - Only Italian TV channels - A lot of mould in bathroom especially in shower. The shower looks very unclean and we were afraid to accidently touch the sides or walls in it. - The shower takes ages to get warm. Waste of water because of that. However for this rate the upsides override the downsides. We had a pleasant stay.
Good services and reasonable price
The guest house is very close to the central railway station and metro. There are already four rooms on one floor. Although Rome is an expensive city, prices are affordable. Everything is thought of for the guests. Rooms are cleaned every day. You can reach many places on foot.
Nice stay nearby Rome city center
Best holidays in Rome is a small hotel situated in the 6th floor of a building. You have to ring the bell to get there. No permanent reception. Owners just come for check-ins and check-outs. Prices are extremely friendly for sucha nice accommodation just short walk from city center. Rooms are spacious, with newly reconstructed bathrooms, bed was very comfortable. Walls are think but we hardly hear other guests and even during night the surroudings was quiet too (we slept with window open to inner court). Accommodation is situated 15-20 min walk from the Colosseo and Rome city center. After whole day walking around Rome, it was quite tiring to walk 20 min uphill to get 'home' but that's also the only small negative of this hotel.
Nice place to rest
If you just need a place to get a shower and sleep it's nice place near the Termini station. The value is good and the place is clean and the room quite big. free WiFi, near to public car parking that cost 18 Euro per day (We print coupon 5% discount for the parking and parked 2 days).
Best guest house I've stayed in Rome
Finding the place was a little complicated from Rome Termini but as long as you have navigation or directions ahead of time it's not bad. The guest house will contact you to find out when you will be arriving as someone has to be there to let you in & give you keys. You buzz the doorbell when you arrive at the building. The check in was the only interaction we had with the reception. The lady who checked us in was very nice and very very helpful and accommodating. They also will leave you a key to store your luggage if needed when you check out. And they leave emergency numbers and the wifi code for you in the room. There's a small elevator in the building which is nice for luggage. There are a few rooms that are rented in this wing of the building and you can hear your neighbors in the bathroom or coming and going from their room. Our room was very clean and rather large for Rome. I remember the bed being comfortable, the linens ok and shower fine and plenty of warm water though it was a little small. They provide a kettle to boil water, tea and some snacks & candy in the room for free which is very thoughtful. I think I recall extra blankets and pillows in the closet. It is a walkable distance to Rome Termini, the coliseum, etc within half an hour. In fact we were in Rome the day of a strike and walked to & from the Vatican City & most other tourist spots covering around 10 miles that day. There's not much around the guest house for a few blocks but if you walk down the street it's on in the direction of the Vatican you will find many restaurants maybe 3-5 blocks away as well as laundry services. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Rome.
