Lovely stay, will be back!
Great location in green Monteverde with all services around the corner and very nice restaurants. Close to Trastevere and the city centre, but the area is calm so it's nice to relax after a day out. Bus stop close by, but I prefered to walk. Personal decorated, charming double room with bathroom, kitchenette, small fridge and breakfast. Quiet, clean and comfortable. A good nights sleep is important when you are out and about sightseeing and I slept like a child every night (6 nights). Carla, the owner, is very welcoming, gives you a lot of tips and is very helpful. She arranged a transfer at a good price, booked table at restaurants, told me about the area and sights and even paid attention to my birthday! I will go back to Rome and then I will stay at Casa Cibella again!
Great location and accommodation, with helpful and considerate host
A short walk to the Vatican, via an amazing and seemingly unknown route (Viale delle Mura Arelie), close to the somewhat less touristy restaurants of Trastevere, and just a Tiber bridge away from the Palatine Hill and Colosseum. Clara, the host, really helped us out in enquiring about the baggage Alitalia lost, and making sure we got it back. An excellent base for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
A charming and very good B&B!
In the whole month of Februrary 2019 I stayed in Rome for a research stay. I rented a room in A Casa Cibella for the whole stay. During my stay both my mother and aunt, and two of my friends came to visit and spent a long weekend in Rome. They also rented a room in A Casa Cibella. We were all very happy with our stay. I can fully recommend A Casa Cibella. The rooms are very nice, tidy, quiet and clean. In the room you have your own bathroom, TV and a kitchenette. And the hostess, Carla, is very pleasant and very helpful. A Casa Cibella is in the district of Monteverde near The Gianicolo Height, but at the same time near the disctrict of Trastevere. I loved my stay in this green and beautiful area of Rome and at A Casa Cibella. I hope to be back in Rome some time, and I will definitely rent a room in this B&B again. Thank you for a lovely stay, Carla!
Great location - adorable hostess
Casa Cibella is located above bustling Trastevere - only some 8 minutes away on foot. The Monte Verde residential area is nice and quite with everything you need, including some nice restaurants. There are frequent buses going to the city centre (Centro Storico), but I always preferred walking – via Trastevere you’re there within 15 minutes. Couldn’t be better! My room was large and had everything that I needed: writing desk, free Wi-Fi, TV, fridge, water-boiler and cutlery: you don’t stay put in your room when in Rome! Other than breakfast I had all my meals “out there”. But the treasure of the place is the hostess: Carla is friendly, helpful, she never says no, and is always available. And she expertly balances her presence with your need for integrity. After a short week I felt as if I had always known her: the ideal neighbour that becomes a friend. From now I know for certain where I want to stay my next time(s) in Rome.
Cosy room, great location
I stayed here for several weeks, and would definetly stay here again. Location is great, if you prefer a quiet area with less tourists. Trastevere is only a 12 minute walk away (down a quite steep hill). Buses to different locations in city center (including Termini train station) stop right outside the apartement. Tickets are cheap, and sold in the tobacco shop nearby. Several nice restaurants and bars are within walking distance. They serve primarely locals, and food is better and less expensive than in more touristy areas. The B&B has two rooms with private bathrooms. My room was cosy, decorated with antique looking furniture. The bathroom was very small and tight, but clean. I didn't cook myself, but the small kitchen area is equipped with micro wave oven, espresso maker and a sink. Room had also a roof fan, refrigerator and a small tv (which I didn't use). Breakfast (pre packed pastry, bread and jam) was included, but I preferred a toasted foccaccia and a cappuccino on the corner bar. Nice view towards the back yard, but traffic can be heavy on the main road. Earplugs recommended for light sleepers. A maid made my bed almost every day. It felt like staying in a basic hotel, for half the price. I would preferred the towels to be changed more than once a week, and they may have been so if I had requested it. Cibella herself is lovely and helpfull. She gave me a good rate for long term stay, and offered convenient and reasonable priced transport to and from the airport.
