Best base ever for Rome visit

Booked a 6day trip to Rome in late June 2020, which unfortunately turned out to be in Corona times, shortly after traveling restrictions fell. So finding a way to get there was not easy. But arriving at Cassiodoro 19 was the perfect start for a unique stay in Rome. Stefano gave us such a warm welcome that it felt perfect to be there. What a man - we were the only guests because all others had canceled, but he didn’t close down. He also gave us a detailed intro into where to eat, places to visit and so on. The room looked nice, it was very quiet and comfortable. Very good beds. We especially liked the possibilty to have a morning tea before starting into the day. We will definitly book Cassiodoro 19 during our next stay.
Perfect location, great host and room in a lovely building

We throughouly enjoyed our stay at Cassidoro 19 for many reasons but the best part was definitely the location. This was my third trip to Rome and I had never been so well situated. Because of its position near the river we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to visit in the historic centre without the need for public transport. St Peters basilica is 10 minutes walk away for example- the Trevi Fountain/Spanish steps 20/25 minutes walk maximum. The host Stefano was very helpful and talked us through a map of the area which included some places to eat, Bud Cafe was one round the corner which we loved in particular for breakfast. The room was also very clean and we had no complaints. The style of the building is beautiful and we felt very safe in the area. It is in a lovely part of the city which felt more relaxed and local than the centre but within such a short distance to the main landmarks. Our highlight of the trip was a visit to the Travestere District, which is a little further away (45 mins walk) but definitely worth it. We got a cab back in the evening using the MyTaxi app that Stefano told us about and it was great, almost identical to Uber but cheaper. We would highly reccommend this accommodation to anyone and we would look to stay there again if we return to Rome.

Cassiodoro 19 was a great stay, we felt at home! Is located in the Prati district very safe and nice neighborhood, location wise it has a bit of everything for everyone, only two streets over from all the famous shops (i.e. Tiffany & Co, Michael Kors, etc as well as food shops), we walked about 15mins to the entrance of the Vatican museums, and the entrance for St. Peter’s square and Basilica, is like 10 mins walk from the Castello of St. Angelo and if you don’t want to walk it has the lepanto Metro station, and many buses from via cicerone that can take you to the colosseum, trevi fountain and other touristy places and to roma termini station (in case you taking a train outside rome), we came from ciampino airport and also via crescenzio there is the SIT bus (shuttle) that can take you to/from airport and is 3mins walk to the hotel!, Juan and Stefano both were very helpful and very welcoming, Stefano was super quick responding any queries I had and with the transfer I booked when we arrived as we landed at 11:30pm or so, and Juan not only welcomed us but gave us local tips on what to expect from some locals taking advantage of tourists, however everyone in Italy we found very helpful and welcoming!, overall would stay here again in a heart bit and definitely recommend the stay, very clean, spacious, super quiet and comfortable!

Spent 4 nights in Cassiadoro 19 recently and loved it! We had room 5 which was a treble room. It was wonderfully quiet, cosy and had a fridge with tea and coffee facilities, plus plenty of hot water in the shower! Stefano was an amazing host spending time with us at check in to show us local eateries and recommendations for walking routes around the city. I woild definitely recommend a stay here if you're travelling to Rome.

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Juan who was extremely welcoming and helpful. As it was our first time in the city, Juan took time to help us gain our bearings, helped point out local shops and bars, and gave us some great tips on how to be a savvy tourist! He even gave us his mobile number and said if we got stuck, had any questions or just wanted to check something, to send him a message and he'd gladly help. We also met Stefano (and his lovely dog Shelia) during our stay who was equally as welcoming and helpful. He also allowed us to leave our suitcases on the last day as our next flight wasn't until the evening so we could continue exploring on our last day. The rooms are basic but have everything you'd need for a short stay. It was certainly clean and in a good location with everything within walking distance and not in the expensive areas for food and drink. I'd certainly stay here again. Stefano, Juan is a fantastic asset to your business! Thank you for our stay.
