Great Customer Service
We had a trip planned for Septmeber of this year and were unable to visit because of the Coronavirus restrictions for Travel to Italy from the United States. We had booked Domus Monami Luxury Suites for 6 days on a non refundable booking. They always answered our emails and helped us to set up a great vacation but sadly we were unable to travel . Fabrizo Monami worked very hard and granted us a full refund voucher that we can use next year even though our booking clearly stated that it was non refundable. Thank you so much Fabrizo and we look forward to seeing you next year.
The perfect place for us in Rome
We had the good fortune to stay at this charming boutique hotel March 2-8. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed with a very nice shower, the breakfasts were very good and served in a charming dining room. The hosts, Stephano and Fabrizio, we lovely, helpful and kind. The location is also great, in the upper part of Trastevere, close to restaurants, bars and shops. We walked almost everywhere easily (though the walk back up was sometimes a bit daunting) and enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Rome.
A quiet, safe and interesting stay.
My daughter and I stayed here 9 days in January. It was a great place from which to explore the immediate area as well as greater Rome. Our triple room was huge, immaculate and had its own private bathroom. The breakfast was fine with coffee, cornettas and fruit. Actually the Cappuccino was great:) Stefano, the owner could not have been more helpful and we asked his advice frequently. The area immediately around the Villa is very interesting with ancient churches, war memorials, embassies and Trastevere within a short distance. We even walked to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona with no difficulty. We would stay there again for sure. It is now our home away from home in Rome.
Outstanding! A perfect introduction to Rome.
We loved our stay here so much! The owners were so tremendously welcoming, helpful, and a joy to talk to! Our room (cesare) was very comfortable - comfortable bed, fantastic shower, great a/c. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful and served in a beautiful dining room full of family heirlooms. The location in Trastevere is really nice - just a short 10 minute walk down the hill to a very vibrant area with restaurants and bars. Very safe and secure location and ample, secure on-street parking for free (I'm pretty sure that is practically unheard of in Rome). We walked almost entirely while staying here. It's a good 30-minute walk to most of the major sites but it's full of interesting things to see - we never felt it to be long at all. Otherwise, a quick taxi can get you anywhere you need to go. Not only do I recommend staying here, but we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Rome. Thank you Stefano & Fabrizio! - Aly & Scott
Fantastic people and wonderful place
What differentiates a very good B&B from an excellent one is the people who own the place. Brothers Stefano and Fabrizio exemplify what good ownership does. Domus Monami is a charming facility. It is located in one of the quietest and safest areas of Trastevere, right across the street from the Irish Embassy. And it is located on a street where you can actually park your car easily and overnight! The rooms are large and well equipped, even having your own espresso maker. Very quiet at night too. Breakfasts were plentiful and way more than adequate. The roof top sitting area is a great place to have a glass of vino and watch the sun set over the city. You can walk down to the old area of Trastevere which is full of restaurants and shops. While the walk back up is a steep one, you get to work off the pasta you just ate. But Stefano and Fabrizio are the reason you should stay here. They treat you like family and genuinely want your stay to be great. Very highly recommended.
