Rome
Great spot to stay. Really handy for the attractions. Close to metro. Bed comfey, room safe and secure. Room cleaned daily. Lift for those with mobility issues. Breakfast provided in cafe 200yrds away from the hotel.
Dissapointment
The worst disappointment was that the pictures of the rooms are either photoshopped or prepared in a special conditions: the room was in fact very dark and creepy. Also the shelf in the bathroom was broken. Additionally, you can hear all the noises from other rooms in the hotel because the walls are paper-thin. It was difficult to fall asleep. Simply this "hotel" is not worth it's price. The stuff isn't too friendly as well. Ie. had to wait for around 15 minutes for them to open the door when I came for check-in. I don't feel these people can be trusted.
Unpleasant surprise
Be careful when it comes to the price of the room. It is said in the offer that the City Tax is included in the price, but then when you arrive at the hotel you will be asked to pay it anyway (?!). It will make the total price HIGHER than it was in the offer. So, just in case, take some additional money with you. What is more, the pictures of hotel rooms are misleading. There is only one Junior Suite with Terrace, the ugliest one with orange walls, even though in the pictures you can see a different room to pick as well. Moreover, the smell of the room during the first day was unbearable. Communication in a bit more complicated matter than cleaning might be very difficult. The only thing that we've enjoyed is the location of the hotel.
Never answered phone day of arrival. Even Chase Travel Rewards could not reach them! (And they lusted them)
- we selected this hotel based on search filters for airport transport- and called to confirm/arrange shuttle ahead of arriving from Rome airport, no answer! They never answered calls or emails even until now, days later! We had to cancel at midnight stranded at the airport! Not a real hotel.
Excellent few days in Rome
The first night we spent in the room with a terrace which was a delight to stay in. The next two nights we stayed in a deluxe double room which was almost as good. We only had to change because of my own booking change and a Booking.com cancellation after we had paid for another hotel. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean, the location was near the Vatican and a few minutes from the Metro. Breakfast was a voucher for a croissant, hot drink and orange juice at a more than adequate local cafe, which one time we also ate lunch. Overall fantastic value.
