Loved the place

We were there for the Six Nations match and thought the hotel and staff were brilliant. Really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The only negative for the weekend was I got pickpocketed on the Metro so lost my wallet and phone. Be careful it’s a problem there, Romanian Gypsies. I spoke to some Italy fans at the stadium who said it’s an issue on the Metro. Get yourself a bumbag or money belt. Rome and the Italians were brilliant.

Not great, sadly.

We stayed here for three nights over the six nations weekend. The rooms are very cramped, a double bed, one bedside cabinet, no air conditioning, as it is apparently still set in winter mode, so the rooms are boiling hot - not conducive to a good nights sleep…… The shower room was small, with a shower, not a power shower, a bidet (this was left with the hot water running and the plug in, on our arrival, fortunately the over flow worked!), and a basin. No hooks for towels but a small handrail that only had space for hand towels, definitely not the bath towels. There was only a mirror in the bathroom and no drawer space. The room was clean. The position of the hotel is central and near to the termini, but this has its own issues, due to a large number of homeless people sleeping there, and as the air con didn’t work, we had the window open (on the 4th floor) and every night/early morning, there was shouting, bad language, car horns, road sweepers, etc, etc. once again not conducive to a good nights sleep. The breakfast on the 5th floor was a very simple offering. Fresh fruit and yoghurt being its saving grace. White bread only available and awful coffee. Do ask the pleasant staff for a cappuccino or similar.

Great hotel with good price/quality ratio

The experience was great, clean hotel, cosy, comfortable with very professional and kind people. The only regret was the breakfast which was a little bit simple with not much variety. Besides this, the location is just perfect in front of the railway station. We recommend it !

Comfortable and good location

Only had a couple of days in Rome, so chose this hotel as it was easy access to the train and metro. Absolutely perfect, lovely and helpful staff, good breakfast and comfortable room. Made our stay in Rome very easy.

A horrible experienced

We emailed them up front with the request to check in earlier. This was confirmed and reconfirmed. If this wouldnt have been the case, we would have looked for another option. At our arrival at 1:30 am the desk clerck told us our prepaid reservation was not in their system. Whilst showing the emails and explaining the situation, the only option was to pay cash for an extra night(+-100 euros). We left and found a cheap and nice hotel just around the corner (Hotel Mirage) and went back the next day because our accomodation was already paid for. The day clerck reacted very defensive and said to ask management what to do about the situation. She admitted the unclear communication on their part but said they could not compensate our extra night at another hotel. She let us in our room two hours early during the day. Next two days of our citytrip, we had the same response: “there is no answer from the management”. We left the hotel after our weekend, dissapointed and felt the defensive and non professional attitude was uncalled for. We will not be going back to this hotel and don’t recommend it.
