Hard to beat location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms

Reviewed 13 july, 2021

I was travelling solo and only needed a place to sleep. I booked the smallest room but the room had everything I need!! A fridge and a kettle (my essentials when travelling). Super clean, and towels were replaced daily (!!). And super-friendly staff, they contacted me before arrival and were very aproacheable and caring.

One big problem

Reviewed 28 september, 2018

A quite nice, clean hotel. Host very pleasant and helpful. Good amenities. Very acceptable breakfast. But.... Beware the paper thin walls😡! You can hear every little (and big!) sound from all the neighbouring rooms and we had noisy, selfish neighbours who came in at 12.30am talking loudly, banging doors and seemingly moving their furniture around!! This problem made the above average price seem very expensive! Oh, and no lift for transporting suitcases in the part of the hotel we were in.

Reception staff helpful, room basic

It is close to the station, although we struggled to find it, looks more like private houses than a hotel. Has a lift inside but we took the stairs. Room was ok, although close to street, bathroom needs some attention

Customer service 10/10

Reviewed 28 june, 2018

I stayed at Il Fascino Di Roma for 4 nights in a small room for 1 person with a double bed. I can not fault the Host Massimilliano A true gentleman and superb customer service. Nothing was a problem and was happy to help in anyway from luggage to making calls for me to any sort of help. The young lady who prept breaky was also very helpful & accommodating. Breakfast was delightful with many sweets coffee bread cereal cold meats etc and they catered for Gluten Free ppl. Bedroom & bed was comfortable. Air con worked. Tv kettle in room and little bar fridge that worked well. Bathroom how ever very small but ok for one person. I would definately stay here again due to location customer service and value for money. Thank you Massimilliano hope to see you in Australia one day!

Rip Off

Reviewed 23 april, 2018

The rooms look great on the booking website (booking.com), and it was a bit pricy. However, the room we got was a dump! Small, damp, smelly cubicle. Small crocked bed, small windowless room where the breakfast was served. We have travelled (budget style) for over 40 years both privately and professionally. This place rates among the top deceitful ripoffs ever. They obviously have a few nice rooms, both pictures and reviews seem to indicate it. However, you might still get the dump we got, even if you pay the full price. Rome has hundreds of hotels. Stay away from this place!
