Typical Italian Rooms
The room was very basic with typical Italian furniture yet functional and comfortable. WiFi and the AC worked really well. However no mini fridge or electric kettle. The location is very good in a quiet street near the piazza del popolo, the shopping street with many restaurants and the underground station. A comfortable base in Rome.
Nice location when the priority is to explore the city
Close to metro station, only three stops from Termini (cental station). Located north west close to Piazza del poppolo and the shopping streets as well as the ”spanish stairs”, meaning that you go down south to all sightseeing events/restaurants etc. You can easly walk everywhere from here. Calm street which was nice. A bit loudy from orher rooms, but no issue really. We had breakfast on the go each day to try new things and places, which I recommend!
Ok for the price
We stayed here for 3 nights. Basic room no real view at the back of the hotel would ask for road view or room with little balcony if stayed again . Quite easy to find . 24hr reception very friendly answered all our questions Evan suggested a bar to go for a drink when we asked. Room ok , basic no fridge but air conditioning and safe free of charge. Bathroom basic shower ,hairdryer on wall, some toiletries. Very easy to walk to all of Rome from here. In the middle not far from the metro. Lots of resterants and cafes just around the corner, they don't do breakfast. There is a lift or a spiral staircase. Good basic hotel for the price.
Clean, basic, friendly and good value for money!
My kids were horrified to hear that I had booked a 2* hotel for our 4 day break in Rome. (No sense of adventure and over-developed sense of privilege..?) I did say that it may mean simply that there were limited facilities, but the price was good and the location was perfect. We arrived on a Friday night, the weekend of the Rome marathon and the receptionist was very friendly, had given us 2 twin rooms instead of the family room we were expecting and he offered advice on where to eat that evening. The rooms were very basic and small, but completely adequate. There is no bar or restaurant and the only thing we really missed during our stay was the facility to get a hot drink. The Piazza del Popolo is literally at the end of the road (about 1 minute to walk) and then it is a straight road down to the Colosseum and all sights en route.
Get bang for your buck!
This hotel is in a great location! Felt very safe in the hotel with the front door being locked 24 hrs a day. Although the rooms are very dated, they are kept very clean. We were surprised to have a room with a rather large balcony, a nice surprise (room on the first floor). I would stay here again if I was to travel back to Rome.
