Great Hotel
This hotel had clean rooms, comfy beds & nice employees. The breakfast was ok, food wasn’t very hot. Breakfast had the basic stuff. There is a gas station & Burger King across the street. The rooms are fairly large.
FRONT DESK CLERK, MICHELLE NEEDS FIRED!
As much as I travel, I make it a point to try and not write bad reviews, but I must advise guest about this hotels front desk clerk, Michelle, what happened. (that's what she said her name was). I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior at a hotel by a front desk clerk. What hotel front desk clerk uses profanity at a prospective guest on the phone? All I needed was my confirmation number and to change my arrival date. After giving me the run around by saying she COULD NOT give it to me since I booked online. I informed her that I booked online using the Comfort Inn website. She finally gave me the confirmation number. Then again, she said she could not change the date and her manager would have to do it and to call back at 11pm at night. I have never heard of such a thing. I travel 3 weeks out of the month every other month, and have had to change dates many times and have NEVER encountered such behaviour or problem changing arrival dates. After i told her i have never heard of this and she can change my arrival date, she started cussing. What? And that's who you, Comfort Inn Belle Vernon, have answering your phone, greeting guests, representing your name and property? Sorry to say, but Michelle,really does need to lose her job if this is how she handle a task of this nature . She completed the application to be hired to work with the public. If she does not have the personality or character traits to deal with the public, she sould seek employment elsewhere. I canceled my reservation.
Good night's sleep
We reserved our room through priceline at the last minute and mostly for the price. The staff was friendly and the common area was clean. We thought our room was standard for the price we paid. We did get a good night's sleep because the bed was comfortable and the halls were quiet. There was a free breakfast in the morning which we also found adequate.
Not worthy of a 4 star.
We stayed last night. We had checked in early, did not go into our room and arrived back at 10pm. The hotel was recommended by a family member, has a 4 star, and is close to my daughter. The only reason the review is not a 2 star is because of the staff, overall cleanliness of the hotel and our room. First, our keys did not work, a little irritating but. Walked in the room and the cigarette smell was overwhelming, when I drew the curtains the shear was ripped and in shreds, holes in the walls and then a wake up call at 4am. Reminded me of the non chain hotels of years past. Excellent lobby and crap rooms.
Very comfy
Very friendly and the breakfast was delicious, everything hot and fresh on a very cold,rainy morning. Staff went beyond to make us feel at home, even offering us cold bottled water. Found ourselves staying there because our granddaughter was graduating from college
