While checking in on July 23, the front desk was helpful and lobby was clean. The positive ended there. We stayed in room 111 and the list of problems is long. 3 big spots on the ceiling of paint and texture missing, stained carpet, hole in carpet, the cubby the fridge was in was rotted a d could tell had water damage, window doesn’t lock(luckily had family nearby to give me a piece of wood to secure it), bathtub stained with blue spots, moldy shower curtain and bath mat, and the marijuana smell all night was terrible. I even tried putting towels in the gaps of my door to stop it. People hung out in the back parking lot all night, and doors slammed in the hallways all night. The pool had clumps of hair on the deck in numerous spots and the deep end of the pool was dirty. I wouldn’t stay here again unless some serious changes were made.

We made a very last minute reservation here after having to leave another property for filth. We were greeted by the friendliest lady! The property does need some general maintenance and minor repairs in some areas. However, The place is spotless. The staff are all incredibly friendly. The room was sanitary and the beds extra comfortable. It was very quiet. We needed extra blankets and they were delivered to us, WARM, 2 minutes after calling. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which was clean and cool. They even limit the pool to 5 guests to avoid accidents and problems. The room the pool is in could use an update but was by no means offputting or unusable. Breakfast was more plentiful than most, complete with a waffle station you'd find at a more expensive hotel, and again spotless. We needed plastic silverwear for dinner and the staff were more than happy to oblige immediately. When we were leaving the pool, a disabled guest was arriving and the front desk girl ran outside in the downpouring rain to help her to the door and hold the door for her, even though she was not alone. We have stayed all over the east coast, including 5 star resorts, and this was by far one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. I even felt safe allowing my 12 year old to go to and from the car and front desk alone. UberEats is able to deliver right to your room, too, which is FANTASTIC after a long day.

Stayed nights of 8th & 9th October, 2020 due to tornado driven power outage at my home also in Schenectady, NY. JEN at the front desk is most helpful in addition to being affable. Rooms are clean and appointed according to reasonable nightly rates.
CAVAET: Franchise owners adjust your credit card charges whimsically and without guests' authorization. They think the system in the US is broken w.r.t. credit card use; that they can slip in charges over and beyond agreed amount. I paid my bill in full. Checking my bank I found additional charges. Franchisee told me weekend rates are higher - whereas I had stayed Wednesday night. So, BUYER BEWARE!!!
I have subsequently complained and am assured the charges will be rectified. The only other place this crap occurred during my International travels, was in new Zealand. Charges without authorization are NOT OK.

Small friendly property with clean rooms and friendly service.
Sometimes stay here when our other place is sold out. Breakfast, parking and wifi all included. Reasonably priced as well and convenient to Union college..

If you are looking for inexpensive, clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations this place is for you. Daughter was able to get a good nights sleep and enjoy a hot private shower before going back to school.
