Fantastic Hotel!
My husband, myself, and my 6 year old son wanted a quick getaway, so I booked us for 3 nights during the week at the Tru hotel in Round Rock. When we arrived, there were two friendly ladies behind the front desk - Chasidy and a lady that I, unfortunately, didn't get her name. They were really nice. They even remembered to give me my drinks and snack for being a Hilton Gold member at the time. (Many places forget to hand these things out.) Our room was really nice. We had two queen beds. The beds were comfy, and I was happy that the tv was a decent size instead of being too small for the room. The noise level was minimal which made for a great night sleep. We spent a lot of time down in the lobby where my son and husband played pool. We also would talk to Miss Chasidy who was always up for a chat. She was so friendly, and she's probably the friendliest person I've come across. She was really good with my 6 year old. I would even go as far as to say that Miss Chasidy was the best part of our trip. She is such a lovely woman. I used the restroom by the lobby, and it was really clean. They even had tampons and pads in the restroom for free which I thought was really thoughtful. The pool was really nice and relaxing. We loved swimming in it and enjoyed how big it is. It was also clean. I did use the fitness center which was nicely stocked with all kinds of weights, mats, towels, etc. There was even a tv that was interactive that would guide you through workouts. There was a treadmill and a stepper machine (not sure the actual name for them) too. It was a good sized work out room so plenty of room for more than a couple of people to work out. Breakfast was delicious and kept changing each day. The hot food changed between eggs cooked different ways, bacon, sausage, waffles, and oatmeal. There was fresh fruit as well as different kinds of pastries and bagels. There were different juice choices, and coffee and hot chocolate were available 24/7. We paid for premium WIFI which was reliable and quick enough for all we wanted to do. This hotel was also very clean everywhere we went. Kudos to the cleaning team! Checkout was a breeze, and we didn't want to leave at all. This Tru hotel has definitely become our favorite. We will stay here again when we're in the area. Hopefully we'll be able to chat with Miss Chasidy next time we are there. =)
Great stay
Great place to stay. I used the HiltonHonors app to check in and out and used my phone to unlock the door. Great hotel and the restaurants within walking distance are amazing. Everything was clean and wrapped to let you know it had been sanitized.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. No frills.
Check in was great. They have lots of snacks available at the front counter. Rooms were clean but had shade problem which I resolved myself. A single ice machine was down for 3 days. Basically, clean comfortable hotel no frills and no backups.
Good, but quick stay
My husband and I had a great stay. The breakfast staff was very nice, but the front desk staff didn’t acknowledge us. Overall, great location. I would definitely stay here again!! I also loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It smelled amazing.
Nice hotel
Other than too much air freshener, and noisy neighbor, it is a nice hotel. The room was comfortable and cleaned well. Nice bedding with comfy bed, nice pillows. The room is very simply decorated without the frills but nice.
