True Rovinj with art vibe
We have spent a weekend in a famous Adriatic suite. Although this was during COVID, all personnel were great with professional hospitality. Both breakfast and dinners were great with many choices. If you want to be in a Rovinj center, this is the place. If you enjoy art, even more.
In the city centre, great breakfast, great dinner. You can borrow their bike. You can use the SPA's in other hotels for free. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they will arrange basically anything for you. All in all, worth a visit!
Having visited Rovinj for many years, for some reason we had never eaten here but this year we ate here twice. It was very lovely sitting out in the main square, people watching and enjoying the entertainment that takes place every night in summer. The staff are really great, completely on it and charming too. Our first dinner was a success, albeit the service was a little slow, particularly considering there were few covers. All in all, a perfect evening. The second visit was more special for us as it was our wedding anniversary but this did not go quite to plan. Starters were great, but three of us had the special truffle pasta and twice the dish was served to us, and the pasta was completely raw in the middle. The first time the waiter said it was served 'al dente'. Mm, al dente is one thing, raw is another. So it went and came back - still completely raw in the middle, you could have snapped it in half. Oh dear. Nevermind, I'm sure it was a one off and I would go again.
Very nice hotel, beautiful views
I booked a Grand piazza suite as I wanted a sea view. It had a beautiful view over both the harbour and the main square. The room was very large and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the complimentary snacks and Illy coffee (so nice not to have a Nespresso machine). The one thing I didn't like was the Molton Brown body lotion etc in porcelain decanters with a lid that lifts off (not sealed). I didn't touch the stuff as I couldn't know if they are replaced/cleaned and refilled between guests. And I didn't see the point of having perfume to spray the room. The whole the hotel is quite stunning. Breakfast was quite good, but I had to wait a bit for the menu even though the breakfast room wasn't busy.
Great Coffee And Top Class Service
We had a few drinks and coffee here. View was amazing as well as coffee. Waitress was fantastic. Like it should be in this hotel class. Prices are cheaper than you'd expect. Outside couches are comfortable. You can sit there for hours.
