Very nice and welcoming place

We had a lovely time. This B&B is located in a very small village but conveniently located in the beautiful Bordeaux region. Ideal for wine-touring and cycling. We had the dinners both nights and they were excellent. Property has beautiful grounds and a pool and is right on the edge of vineyard. I highly recommend if you want a quiet place in this area.

We spent one night here while visiting St Emilion, which is not far from Ruch. The hosts were pleasant and accommodating and the rooms were simple, comfortable, and clean. There was a pool which was nice for us considering the heat wave in France at the time. None of the rooms are air conditioned so it was a little warm at night, but we opened our window a bit to compensate. For 20E we had a nice meal prepared by the hosts, which I would recommend as there seems to be few places to eat in this small town. Breakfast was typical French fare; I purchased some homemade preserves to take with me and wish I had bought more. You do need a car to get here; there is plenty of parking. All in all, a very good experience.
Not made welcome in this b&b

We were a party of 4 who were staying in the area for a wedding. From the beginning, the landlady did her best to make us feel unwelcome. We are 2 married couples. There is no restaurant/ bar in the village of Ruch so a car is essential if you stay here. On one of the evenings we were having a glass of wine in the dining room - not making noise - at 12 midnight - and we were told to wrap things up by the landlady! We felt that we were getting in her way all weekend and didn't feel particularly welcome. She didn't like the fact that we were there to enjoy ourselves at the occasion of our friend's wedding - and we were in no way rowdy. Not to be recommended if you want to let your hair down. Breakfast was poor - cereal, croissant and some kind of cake - carb overload and we had to constantly ask for more milk. Surroundings are nice and the pool is good. The place was very clean. The landlady should improve her attitude towards PAYING customers.
Amazing B&B in Ruch

Following a wedding in the area, we stayed at Domaine de Blaignac for one night before heading back to Bordeaux the next morning. We found this charming B&B easy to find, welcoming, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The yard was also very beautiful to look at, including the outlook to vineyards beyond the established and gorgeous roses that lined one side of the swimming pool. We booked two rooms, slept well and enjoyed a super breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend. - The Halls
