Very friendly and comfortable option for Coventry Stadium

Reviewed 3 august, 2022

We had an early Saturday session of the Rugby Sevens at the Commonwealth Games, and stayed here so we had a short trip in the morning. The welcome was very warm including a handwritten note and sweets which were much appreciated by our two children. Family room was perfect; very clean with comfortable beds and everything working well. We also had breakfast here which was great - a good selection of cooked and continental options. Parking is easy and there's an Aldi right next door which is really useful for getting supplies for the day. The only downsides with the room was that it was a little warm (a fan is provided) and there's some road noise from the M6 if you leave the window open. But those are minor quibbles: overall it was fantastic. Thank you!

Great location - Avoid the restaurant next door

Great location - free parking - room size great. That's about all the hotel had going for it. Check in was a nightmare. Room was not ready, one staff member told us to wait 15 mins then the manager told us another 30 mins! Families were arriving after us and getting there rooms. The manager then had a very public spat with a gentleman checking in and his room not being ready, threatening to cancel his booking. A fan in the room that just about functioned with the amount of dust on it. 1 large towel and 1 hand towel for a family of 5?? Room was only cleaned if you went to reception before 12 and requested it. The restaurant next door was the worst brewers fayre I've visited. Staff need serious training in customer service. Staff member smashed a glass in the walkway for the soft play. Cleared it up but left loads of it on the floor. Someone in the men's puked in the toilet sink on Sunday evening, guess what it was still there on Monday evening. There response??? Our staff don't clean sick. Overall a really disappointing stay

Poor nights sleep, sarcastic check out staff.

The check in staff were really friendly, but the room was absolutely unbearable. 30 degrees all night. The window only opens a tiny bit, they give you two fans which I had to have on all night. I had a terrible nights sleep. Upon check out the man on the desk asked how my night was, I told him the room was far too hot and I had a terrible nights sleep. He very sarcastically told me he doesn't have a switch to control the weather. Air conditioning is a staple in most hotels, this one would do to invest in some. The free WiFi was also completely useless, didn't work at all. I will not be returning to this hotel.

10-15 minute drive to Stanford Hall which was great. The hotel was clean and although our first room we had to move from because the bathroom had a horrible drain smell , we struck lucky because our second room was in a much quieter location in the hotel. So be warned that part of the building does border a very busy A road which did keep us awake a bit on the first night. Cant comment on the food as we didn't need that but the staff were all very helpful and friendly. will stay here again
