I booked this hotel via Hotwire.com. I use this site a lot for hotel booking and when I was checking in the Hotel Manager-Ashish M. asked me $15 more for a double bed.
I was very surprised as the Hotels mostly do not ask for extra money for the room choices. I was tired and just paid that $15 but I told him that I was never asked before for such changes on the bookings from Hotwire but he did not seem to care and charged for that $15.
After checking the regular website I noticed that there is only $10 for the room upgrade. I went down and asked Ashish M about the pricing information on a written policy. He said, " If you need an upgrade you have to pay $15". He could not provide me a document and refused to explain where that extra money comes from.
He threatened to cancel my reservation and kick me out after I am asking him about Hotel's pricing policy.
I told him that I was going to write my experience as a Review and he responded to me in a teasing way and said he did not care. He argued and still did not give me a reason for that extra charge,
Such a cheap mentality and disrespectful attitude.
He was still argumentative and even threatening behaviour to cancel my reservation and kick me out.
This is such embarrassing and rude to argue with your customers, and unacceptable.

Stay started out good. Rooms were clean, little old and looked like the bathroom needed dry wall repair but still decent. Man who checked us in was really nice. However after we checked out and wrr on our way home we recieved a call from the manager who stated we had damaged bedding and would have to pay 50+ dollars. He ten proceeded to say it looked like an animal ate them and kept asking if we had pets. We had no pets just 3 kids. We kept trying to say we did not have pets and were constantly talked over. We were sent pics and the damages looked like rips, not like a rat or dog ate anything. I ended up being charged 25$ for damages my family did not cause. I advise you take pics before you leave of your room of how you left it.

This was our first time to stay in this hotel. With COVID-19, we were not sure what to expect, but the front desk attendants were very nice. We could tell it was a slightly older hotel or was previously something else. Personally it didn't feel as clean as others we have stayed in, but it could be that it was just not as new. Of course with COVID regulations, they had no breakfast, but it was in a convenient spot to drive to eat somewhere.

My family and have an excellent time in the Ruidoso Mountain Inn,great rates,love the breakfast,very friendly staff,clean beds and rooms,very helpful and polite people,i will come back definitely, keep it up guys!!!

My boyfriend, Shih Tzu and I stayed here for the weekend and we loved it! Very friendly staff, great hot breakfast, items available for purchase in the lobby was a nice touch, and the best part was they are animal friendly! The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean as well. No stains or smells from the animals. Great stay, will come again.
