Great overnight stop

Probably the sixth time we have stayed here, but first since Covid. Plenty of secure parking outside. We were welcomed by a lovely friendly lady who I assumed was the manager. She checked us in and we were allocated a triple room on the second floor. The room was clean, tidy and beds extremely comfortable. The room had a velux window out of which you had a view of the surrounding area. The bathroom, as is the usual style in B&B was small, compact but had a great shower. The towels were tiny though. We went out to eat at the nearby shopping mall and on our return sat outside with a coffee as it was hot weather and there was outside seating. Breakfast in the morning was fresh and plentiful. Lovely croissants and fresh bread plus the usual hot scrambled egg and bacon. We left straight after breakfast to continue our journey and within minutes were back on the motorway. We undoubtedly will stay again . A big thank you to the lady on Reception for giving us directions for the nearest petrol station that took cash. We had cards but wanted to use cash and a lot of french service stations no longer take cash. Also all B&B hotels have an accreditation for their high standards regarding Covid. We felt very safe staying here.

Beautiful place to visit

Ok Hotel just the breakfast let it down, other than that it’s very handy for everything you need if your paying a visit to Mont-St-Michel, if you’re feeling energetic you can walk there from here or if like me you’re feeling lazy the shuttle operates every 15 minutes there.

I have written before that the standards vary with bb hotels now, the manager/ owner was very friendly in the mornings and didn't acknowledge your presence in the evening, overall not too bad though we did see cockroaches walking around the dining area during breakfast.

B&B = Bad Beds, Bare Bones, Bad Breakfast
Opinión escrita el 2 de novembre de 2016
B&B usually means Bed & Breakfast; well breakfast is available, for an extra charge. Trust me, unless you like soggy bacon you will want to skip the breakfast. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and she was able to accommodate us when we found out that our room which was on the top floor had a bad AC unit and it was very hot in the room. The new room had a working AC unit, that we later discovered left a lake on the floor from dripping all night. The beds in both rooms we were in are mattresses tossed on to hard wooden blocks. Which works if the mattress is good one, these were not. It was the most uncomfortable three nights I had on my trip. One night stay at this place is manageable, more than that I would suggest looking elsewhere. B&B here should stand for Bad Beds, Bad Breakfast, Bare Bones, Bad Backs after sleeping on the Bad Beds. After three nights in this place I would have to be very hard up to stay in another B&B Hotel in the future. The rooms themselves besides the problems with AC and bad beds were fine. Internet worked fine for most of us in my party. Service was prompt and friendly.

Comfortable for a stop over, easy to find. Restaurants and supermarket nearby and vending machine with not bad coffee and waffles, etc if you're up and away before breakfast at 0730. Breakfast was ok on the way down, but left early to avoid traffic on way back, hence vend. There is a lift in case stairs aren't your bag after a long drive and you get lumped with the 4th floor. Not sure who wets the door in a fire though ;o) (see pic)
