Overnight and Issues
This place is fairly new but it appears it caters to long-stay construction workers coming and going at all hours. In common places mask wearing is NOT enforced and groups of construction workers lounge around. We also saw a cleaning person without a mask and front desk person was wearing it under her nose. My husband and I felt so uncomfortable we stayed in our room most of stay just because we saw no cleaning of common areas after folks congregated and we are almost 60. The hotel is non-smoking but the grounds outside are littered with cigarette butts!! The breakfast, due to Covid rules not being followed, is minimal. They bring hot entree to you if you desire. During our stay it was a biscuit and gravy. Other items were packaged oatmeal, packed fruit cups, packaged powdered donuts and sweet rolls, fruit loops in a large plastic server. Pretty minimal for a breakfast in my opinion and not much for a person with diabetes or wanting healthy items. The room felt fairly clean. However, the headboard of bed had hand prints all over it. The sheets are pilled and scratchy. Cabinets are also well fingerprinted which makes me think a thorough cleaning is not happening everywhere. They say full kitchen but there is no oven. There is a 2-burner cooktop, decent-sized fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Cooking tools are very minimal. There is a steamer basket, small frying pan and saucepan. No bowls. The room also contains a toaster and small coffee pot. WiFI password didn’t work for us either. If you are coming for a leisure stay, I highly recommend going elsewhere. This was my first Wyndham stay in about 10 years. And it will be easily 10 more if I ever try them again. I took photos of the bedding to show pilling, headboard hand marks and kitchen.
Great suites! Comfy beds! Excellent location!
Nice location, close enough to the highway for quick access but far enough away so there's no noise. I liked having many choices of restaurants, shopping and gas stations nearby. The hotel suite was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast hot foods could be a little better but otherwise there was a good variety of foods to choose from. Excellent staff! Very nice people! Overall I recommend you give this place a try. I'd definitely stay here again.
Hotel Stay
I definitely recommend this location! My husband and I had a long-term business stay at the Hawthorn. The amenities are perfect. The fitness center is small, but exactly what you need. The hotel serves breakfast every day and has an evening meal that is not only delicious, it's perfect for the working team that arrives with an appetite aftee a long day. My favorite part about my stay is the girls at the front desk. Always helpful, smiling and so easy to approach. Worthy of mentioning, Tina, a front desk staff member, has been polite, informative and just an overall pleasure to deal with! Thank you all for a great experience. Here with my husband
All the employees are super friendly and helpful. I get pretty bored out of my mind so I enjoy going down for breakfast and engaging. Breakfast is never a disappointment. Nice variety of food. The maids are generous and helpful. Amenities available when we need them. I'm not very good at taking the towels to the desk. The maids make sure we get fresh towels and take the dirty ones. My husband works a lot but your employees make for a great stay. Thank you for the great hospitality.
Home away from home
This hotel is very nice. Staff is always helpful, especially the front desk personnel, Olivia. Breakfast is always delicious. Shameka does a wonderful job. Housekeeping keeps the place nice and tidy....
