Excellent B & B

Reviewed 24 october, 2016

Close to the Channel, a very good alternative to a hotel for bed & breakfast. Extremely quiet - despite the railway line a few feet away - and a lovely warm welcome! At just ‎€79 for a lovely big double room one could hardly go wrong. Breakfast was not the best, but did the job well enough.

Lovely B&B

We stayed 3 nights here, 10 minutes from Le Touquet slightly difficult to find but once found quite straight forward. Very friendly owner although not much English spoken but was not a problem. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Secure parking and very quiet. The B&B also run a trout fishing lake which is very pleasant to look onto. There is a small bar which is open to residents and fisherman. Great value for money. Free wifi which was very fast.

Convenient for overnight stay en route to Calais

Reviewed 21 may, 2016

We received a very friendly welcome and though little English was spoken it offered a chance to practice our French. Parking is secure and our room was simple, but good sized and clean. The bathroom, also very clean, had a bath with hand held shower; the shower water pressure was good. There is heating in both the bedroom and bathroom should it be required. Electric shutters on all windows in rooms and also on any glazed external room doors (rooms 4 and 5). The price included a simple breakfast of fresh bread, croissants, jams, cheese, orange juice and hot drinks. There was plenty of everything and we did not go hungry! Although the accommodation is close to a railway line, the noise was not troubesome for us. We arrived on a Sunday evening and the last train went past at 21.00; the first one next morning was at 10.00. Additionally, the windows are well glazed and the train line appears to be inter-city, so trains probably not very frequent; they certainly weren't during our overnight stay. This accommodation is very reasonably priced and though not within walking distance of a restaurant, we enjoyed taking the short drive to Le Touquet for our evening meal. Be aware that check-in is from 17.30.

Handy for the Eurotunnel

Rooms were large and airy, lovely surroundings with views of the lakes, the owner was very helpful with a very good sense of humour, he spoke a little English I spoke a little French... we understood each other. We arrived early evening after a long journey, I asked for tea for my elderly parents, he showed me the bar in the breakfast room, filled the kettle and told me to help myself, it was great like home from home. We felt guilty at breakfast as all of the tables were already laden with food, croissants, brioche, cheese and a whole baguette, far too much for us to eat, the little preserving jars of jam were lovely but were big enough for a week! they must waste an awful lot of food, I wished we could have just chosen our own from the fridge/serving table. There seemed to be a bar/restaurant but wasn't open when we were there. The fishing season opens there in early April so maybe the facilities will also open then? This is in no way intended as a criticism as I loved the hotel, but my parents needed extra pillows which weren't provided so they used the towels from the bathroom, also as they are elderly they were unable to get in and out of the bath and the showerhead was of the type with no riser rail, secured only a on low hook which makes it difficult to shower under. There was no hairdryer available which is usually provided in most hotels.

Decent B&B

Stayed here for one night in August as a stopover to the south of France. Lovely bedroom, nice and clean with a good bathroom. Had a bathtub which my partner prefers. Secure, off-road parking a bonus as well. Village about a 15 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants to be found there. Overall a decent option.
