I made a reservations with booking.com (King room) and cancelled it right away since it was the wrong room. Then made another reservation with booking.com (Queen room). Booking.com showed 1 reservation cancelled, one confirmed. When arriving at the hotel, the hotel had both of them cancelled in their own computer system and was unwilling to reinstate the latter, even after I had a booking.com agent call them up. They said they don't take same day reservations. This was 11pm at night and sent me spinning looking for a room anywhere. No apologies from the hotel, and the hotel staff was most unfriendly as well.
First Saint Louis visit.

The MAC was moderately priced for this older hotel and although the facility was somewhat outdated, the room was clean and comfy. The Staff was open , helpful and friendly and super busy this night. It is located 1 block from the park area leading to the arch too.
Love the Antiquity

When I’m in St Louis, I always stay here. Excellent location and very friendly staff. Modest rooms and a beautiful lobby. My only complaint is that there restaurant (Jacks) is understaffed on the weekends and getting a table can take 10 solid minutes (even though there are open tables), not to mention another 20 minutes to have your order processed. Great food though!
Grand old club!

The MAC is a through back to a grand time in history. We were there for a family wedding and the ballroom and common areas were grand! The rooms were small but clean. Service was very friendly. Great value for money.

You know you are in a historic hotel as soon as you enter. There is plenty of ornate woodwork and an old fashioned front desk with very friendly and helpful staff. My room was very comfortable with a ceiling fan and overhead lighting that has a bright or dim setting. The bathroom is small, and mine was a simple shower, but with plenty of hot water and pressure. The bar is a friendly place to unwind in the evening. Breakfast is not included with the room, but there is a full service restaurant on the first floor. There is a parking garage out th eback door with good rates for downtown St. Louis. I would stay here again when in town for business.
