Clean, all basics, reasonable
Ideal for an overnight stop, clean newly redecorated rooms with all the normal requirements. Also new shower intalled with new fittings. They also allow dogs if that is required. Restaurant closed but there is one opposite with a larger choice a couple of miles away
Dreadful Stay!
The place should never have been open! They were doing refurbishments to the majority of the rooms, so the whole place was full of builders, cement and rubbish. The restaurant was closed when we arrived, just after 9pm and the staff (who looked like a couple of school leavers) wouldn't let us have a glass of wine to take to our rooms ..said it wasn't permitted! We had three rooms booked and between them we were missing towels, bathmat, soap, toiletries and the coffee/tea trays. We were charged 60 euros each for these rooms. I stay in Campanile Hotels all over France, Spain and the UK and am used to a much higher standard .. especially at that price. I can only assume that it was because of the refurbishments .. but they should have closed the hotel for this period of time and then re-opened when they were able to offer a Campanile standard of service .. not a Formula 1! I was very disappointed.
Disappointed
I am glad I have used Campaniles before or else this would have put me off for life.The room had none of the usual facilities.There was no tea making facility and no glasses.The receptionist was apologetic but could not help much. The buffets for dinner and breakfast were sparser than the usual Campanile Hotel.If you are travelling in this area I recommend you break your journey at Campanile Vierzon not here!
To be avoided
First time ever to be very disappointed with Campanile. The restaurant was closed, after receiving the key reception closed. The room was very very hot. Aircon didnt work. Metal shutter mechanism couldn’t be opened/broken. Window couldn’t be opened as frame swollen from water ingress. Maybe we were just unlucky? Breakfast was good and morning staff friendly and helpful. Shall not be going back!
Oh dear Oh dear
With a very heavy heart we have to leave this review. A run down hotel and restaurant that is long past it’s best! Rooms - clean ( a positive view) T.V didn’t work WiFi - needed additional code which we weren’t given until 2nd visit to reception Coffee Maker - instant coffee, milk and paper cups but no kettle of coffee maker - cold water only! No hairdryer 1 extra pillow only - need to draw lots, Most rooms shut up Restaurant No A la Carte No menu given Plat de jour only Order given 3 times - staff had difficulty coping, still only one portion fries ( never mind good for the waist line!) Food - very poor standard What a shame young couple put into a situation that they clearly couldnt cope with. The fault of Campanile chain. A huge disappointment. Do not stay here .
