Top Accommodations in the middle of Historic Salem
Reviewed 3 july, 2022
I've always weighed the pros and cons when paying for a hotel. Some accommodations overcharge because of their reputed reputation, and others prove the axiom that you get what you pay for. The Hampton Inn is one of the latter. It's central location with easy walking distance to many sites and restaurants aside, the hotel itself is a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming hotel with the right amenities. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean and well maintained, an indoor heated pool that is definitely worth a visit, and an ample free buffet breakfast. What more would you want given all the restaurants and shopping close by?

Center of Salem Hotel

New Hampton in Salem Ma. Hotel very clean and about 2-3 years old in the center of Salem. 10-15 minutes walk to marina about 5 mins to stores and food. Overall good hotel. Parking garage has extremely tight spaces and there is an overflow parking on 2nd floor but no elevator so hard to use if have a lot of luggage. We also had issues with our key not working several days and not able to connect to internet. We had a room facing away from water and the view sucked looking at the hotel rooftop. So ask for a room facing marina. Overall good hotel and would recommend

Stayed just one night with my adult daughter. The location was great for exploring Salem. Tons of history, stores and restaurants with very easy walking distance. The hotel was very well maintained and the staff was both friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in Salem.

Best stay

This is almost brand new. Only downside is the restaurant isn’t open out front. But the free breakfast in the morning is pretty cool. Most thought I’ve seen put into the morning dining experience ever. Great spot to stay and walk around salem.
