Anniversary Stay
I must start by saying I am quite astonished by such great reviews. We stayed on Floor 1 (below reception) and whilst we were told our HUGE room was a junior suite it was completely lacking in furniture and comfort. We had a half wardrobe with 2 drawers, certainly not sufficient for a weeks stay. The room is huge so why on earth do they not put in a bit more furniture. Now to the bathroom. Also fairly large with one sink. The bath itself was a problem the whole stay. Firstly it was clear the bath had not been used for ages as the knob switching from bath to shower was stuck. Next day they replaced the shower knob and head so we could use. The plug either got stuck and you had to prize up with scissors or leaked. The door and safe are still operated by large old fashioned keys. The breakfast was adequate but not amazing, with them often having no fresh peaches or bananas (depended on the day) and the reception staff were ok but not great. Lucky it was out of season as few loungers outside to sit on. However the view is spectacular from the balcony and garden/pool area. The hotel is in a fantastic position in Salo near shops, bars and restaurants and is handy for the ferry boats. I would only stay again if I really wanted to return to Salo, but think I would like to try somewhere slightly better.
Thanks for a great stay!
Lovely hotel with fantastic lake views and about 5 minute walk to the lovely promenade into beautiful Salo. Food was excellent and evening meal was served at table with different menu every day with a choice on each course and beautifully presented. Breakfast was buffet with good choice. Very friendly waiting staff who were extremely good at their job. Lovely outside eating area which was lit up each night with table lamps and made it feel so magical. As this isn’t a large hotel it felt very peaceful and serene.Would not hesitate to make a return visit here
Fabulous
We spent 12 days in the wonderful Hotel Salo du Parc just recently. It was, and still is a wonderful hotel (don't be put off by the roadside view of the hotel). It has had a few changes since last year. The reception has been extended into the new lounge and befits such a quality hotel. The food was wonderful , even better than last year, with a few changes to the menu format (all to the good). One thing that makes Salo Du Parc stand out, apart from the view, the food, and the pool, are the wonderful staff. From Alex at reception, to the waiters and waitresses (all multilingual), the other reception staff, and especially the barman. The cleaners were efficient and friendly. All adding to a wonderful experience. We are already planning next year's visit. Keep up the good work
Wonderful
A very lovely hotel, very modern and comfortable rooms. Amazing and delicious food. Exceptional staff . Hotel pool and gardens lovely. We was well looked after couldn't have asked for better. Would certainly return here in the future. Thank you!
Fantastic hotel
We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel, beautifully situated, friendly staff and lovely food. The hotel was immaculate and we couldn’t fault it. A nice size with 42 rooms so it never felt too busy. A short walk into Salo which is beautiful and has plenty to offer. We have booked to come back next year .
