Wish I could give less than 1 star
Wish I could give less than one star. We showed up here after booking a hotel room online to police activity and the one person on duty in an altercation with another guest. The line into the lobby was growing and she told us we would not be able to check in that evening. Upon following up with the hotel, I spoke with Yessi (the general manager) who yelled at me on the phone, used profanity and then proceeded to hang up on me after I requested a refund. IF you're looking for a cheap place to stay, spend your money elsewhere. Still have not received a refund and I wouldn't have even felt safe leaving my car parked out front. Plus they are definitely not taking COVID precations.
BLDG 3 Rooms DISGUSTING
I have stayed here many time and over look the run down conditions but the rooms I stayed was in Bldg 1 and the rooms were ok but needed maintenance and better electrical lights and plugs. But tonight I got a room in Bldg 3 room 307 and it was so disgusting I slept in my clothes. I never seen were someone came in here and use staples to hold the molding on, again no electric plugs and the shades were falling apart. Econ Lodge use to be a nice to place to stay but this one looks more a slum hotel and I was just waiting on drug deals and prostitutes to start. The rates are low but to ask me to put a deposit of $100 on the room the room not worth it. Finally this could be a nice hotel but the owners need to put some money in or close it down.
Great Customer Service! Poor Surroundings!
Very Scary! The girl at the office was very nice, saying that she has to listen to complaints constantly while on her shift. I felt sorry for her to say the least. She informed us that it was to dangerous to walk around outside so we bolted to the room hoping our car would be ok...room had ants crawling all over the vanity...would not stay here again!
Only gets 1 star because there is no option for 0
This place is AWFUL! I am not too picky, but I left shortly after looking at my room. SKETCHY people everywhere but I booked thru a third party booking site. So I checked in against my better judgement and went to my room. Walls were paper thin, light didn't even turn on to the room. I went back and manager said she would like to refund me but I had to go through my booking site. Fair enough. I did so and got an email I wouldn't be charged anything. But I got charged. Then I tried to contact hotel. They said only the manager could help, but manager didn't return my calls. Then I think they started screening my calls. So I called from another phone. Person was rude and eventually hung up on me. IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO ACCESS INTERNET AND CARE ENOUGH TO READ A REVIEW OF THIS PLACE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE. AWFUL!
F'koff Hotel Manager !!
First a short story about the amazing service and objectivity of the manager. I was admittedly in a hurry, on a plane to book a room thru Orbitz as I had to scramble to SLC last minute and needed a room. I booked here but mistakenly hit the wrong dates. I rebooked for the proper dates and immediately send a message to the hotel that I had messed up and if they could cancel my room (for the wrong date) No response. Talked to the front dest upon arrival and they told me to call Orbitz...I called Orbitz and they reached out to Econolodge who denied the cancellation and refund bc this was booked as "non-refundable". I get it, trust me. I was in a hurry and in a rush but surely an objective sole would understand. Well, not this hotel manager. I then called directly and explained the situation. Her response "this is non-refundable"...I tried to explain again it was a mistake, I had already stayed there which was verified but to no avail, she would not budge. NO objectivity, no sense of service, just a bloody robot fool regurgitating some lame policy. So I'm out the $50 for something I never even used. Now besides the terrible service and total lack of any sense of human decency from the manager, the room was another story. Ya know the hotels that meth-heads and tweakers are filmed at on Intervention? Ya...this is definitely the place. If you like lights that work, heat when you enter the room or a clock that works...look elsewhere. Not to mention the steel doors being slammed pretty much every 5 minutes the entire night with people yelling and laughing all up and down the walkway. The only redeeming quality was the parking lot lighting (which should be your first clue to the quality of this joint) Ive been to night time sporting events with less lumens filling up the stadium. So if your able to fall asleep between the crackheads stomping around the place all night, slamming doors, 100 million lumen lights blinding you and the freezing cold rooms...well your a better man than I and one thats probably just shot up with a dose of heroin. Also shame on Orbitz who's typically been great to deal with for allowing these sack of $h!t businesses to be allowed on their otherwise good site. Id happily pay 2x for a even crappier place that had 1 ion of sensibility. Piss off Econolodge.
