Not acceptable!
Very old, shabby, por hygiene, facilities in poor condition, questionable saftey! Ended up canceling my stay! Even though its centally located the propery is in very poir condition. The restaurant is not inviting. Staff is quite indifferent.
Great stay
How I like to write about the good things in life. And this is definitely one of them. A great hotel, a fantastic price. What more can I say? A lot. Réception was great. No waiting and nice staff. Lupita is a doll. The room is incredible (room number 515). Carpet all over except for the bathroom which is divided in two: toilet and shower are separated from the sink. And there is room on the sink for your toiletries. Furniture include a writing desk with a comfortable chair, a nice comfortable easy chair, a low table for the suitcases, air conditioning, you name it they have it. The restaurant, the Mirador, is on the roof right beside the pool. The view is incredible. I would have liked to be there for the sunset but we were invited for dinner at a friend. It is situated 3 and ½ blocks from the Alameda. Close by are several museums, plazas and restaurants. This is an excellent choice for your stay in Saltillo.
Met our needs for one night in Saltillo
Located in the historic center of Saltillo, this hotel was bit difficult to find but once there, it met our needs. Free, secure parking was a plus for us since we were driving. Room was comfortable (if a bit shabby) and the free in-room wifi was reliable and appreciated. Looked like there was some needed renovation going on at least on one floor. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner but the breakfast was good and the panoramic view (it's on the 6th floor) was nice.
Convenient location, good service.
For a longer stay, this hotel is conveniently located in Saltillo's downtown area, especially if you don't have a car. I had to be in Saltillo for a 2-week period, so the rate offered here was much more affordable than the rest of the hotels in the city. The location was only a 10-minute walk from where I had to be. They have a full service restaurant, with good food and good prices. The rooms have good space, cable, and ammenities, although a bit outdated, plus the staff is educated and helpful. It's still the best hotel you'll be able to find in the dowtown area.
OK
We booked a king, but none available, so we got 2 double beds, no extra charge. The room was okay, carpet a bit old. Since we were just passing through Saltillo on the way to Leon, a centrally located hotel was inconvenient and difficult to locate - given the one ways streets. I was a bit concerned with our 15 passenger van hitting the roof entering the parking lot, but it entered fine. Safe parking. The breakfast was delicious - spinach, mushroom omelette. OK but we won't go back since the location for passing through was incovenient. If you're siteseeing downtown- great location, good price for an economic hotel. 2 to 3 stars just fine. The beds were a bit hard, but we were so tired - we slept like a rock.
