Zur Post was our choice for a one day trip to Oktoberfest because friends had booked rooms there and an extra for us.
All in all, the hotel was more than adequate: 10 minutes' walk from the train, near enough to shops and eateries, underground garage (12€ @ day), good WiFi, comfortable bedding, satisfactory furnishings and closets.
Slight negatives (reasons for 4, rather than 5 stars) were moldy spots in some hard to scrub areas of the shower stall, and breakfast which was slightly lacking considering the size of the hotel - only pork on buffet (no fish), and all boiled eggs were hard cooked.
Overall, Zur Post was satisfactory for the price.
Good hotel – not expensive and in a fine location

In the last 10 years we were accomodated in 4 different hotels in Munich and this one is probably the best one. Even though it is not located in the very heart of the town, Hotel Zur Post stands in the vicinity of Pasing railway station, where is excelent connection from Hauptbahnhof via S-Bahn as well as standard regional trains (in direction to Augsburg or Garmisch-Partenkirchen). Because it is not in the very center of Munich, it is also not very expensive and has got a breakfast in price included.
The hotel room was large enough to accomodate two adults and a baby, we appreciated quite large table with two chairs. A bathroom was small but solid.
There were some problems, the hotel probably has some issues with the lift, the display did not display on which floor the lift is and once it was even out of order for some time. The other problem was during a breakfast when we foud out a glass with juice to be very dirty.
We came in the winter, so we did not need to keep the window opened, but the street seemed to be quite noisy. I am not sure whether they have an air condition. Without it the stay would be unpleasant in the summer.
Good value, nice area, good access to public transport

I spent two nights here. The hotel offers very good value. Rooms are small, but have everything you need. I had a quiet room facing the courtyard. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered both warm and cold choices. The staff was very helpful. A big plus, is the patking garage, offered for a very reasonable 12.50€ per night. If you need to get to downtown Munich there is a train station a short walk away, as well as buses and trams. There is shopping in the area, with pretty much anything you would need.
Good for the price

The location of the hotel is very good for a hotel outside the center. The hotel's neighborhood is quite pleasant and quiet. The distance from the center is about 10 minutes by U-Bahn. Rooms are small but well equipped. Hygiene is satisfactory, although there is room for improvement. The staff is kind. The breakfast was good qualitative and quantitative.
To conclude, the hotel is quite good for a 3-star hotel and is suitable for shorter stays.
Very good service

I loved this hotel. I came here with my family, and we stayed 3 nights. Breakfast is excelent and hotel is very well conected with the city. It is 6 stations from Marienplatz and you will need 15 minutes to arrive to the center of the city. They only have rooms with 2 regular beds, and the third one is a bit smaller than regular
