We were in St Augustine for a funeral and were only there for one night. I spent 3 days searching for a hotel and found the Villa Victor. We wanted a hotel near where the service was being held, had breakfast and free parking. My husband called Choice Hotels to book and the agent he spoke with assured him they had breakfast and free parking.
On the way there we got stuck in an accident so I called to let the hotel know we were going to be in late. I could barely hear the woman that answered even after telling her I couldn't hear her, but she said they would hold the reservation. I had to ask her if she wanted to know who we were. GPS kept trying to take us down an unmarked alley instead of just taking us to the front of the building.
When we finally rolled in around 8pm we felt like we were bothering the woman working the front desk. She informed us there was a parking fee and when we told her Choice assured us there wasn't one she told us they know there is a parking fee and they wouldn't tell you that.
When we got to the room it had a strange floral scent to it and wasn't very clean, there was a dirty sneaker print by the tub, one side of the bath mat towel was dirty, the carpet was old and in need of a cleaning and the linens on the bed had threadbare spots like it was burned with bleach or something. The bed itself was very firm and the pillows were flat and lumpy.
In the morning when we went down for breakfast we were informed that they've never had a complementary breakfast, it was always a pay breakfast, but the restaurant was closed because no one wanted to work. We once again said we were told there was breakfast and we're one again told that Choice knows they don't have a complementary breakfast. At least the woman in the morning was apologetic that we were misinformed.
Overall not the worst place we've ever stayed, but we won't be going back.
Great location but over priced for a weekend.

Came for a quick weekend getaway. Hotel has a great location. Walking distance to old downtown st Augustine as well as many other attractions. We had a king room suite. Room was very nice and comfortable. View of the roof of a building next to us. The balcony rooms view the parking lot and the small pool. Staff was very friendly to us. The 2 negatives of the stay are that the do not have a bistro open as stated. They can’t get anyone to work it so it is closed which was not mentioned to us. Also they charge a bs $10 per day parking fee. I well over paid for the room. The should have included parking. They also double the rates on the weekend. I would stay again if I booked far enough out to get a better rate. But after walking around for a few days I saw so many amazing bed and breakfasts.
Close enough to walk to everything

We wanted a quiet, local getaway for our Anniversary due to the pandemic, so we chose St. Augustine. Our stay at Villa Victor was very pleasant. We had a small balcony, a spacious room with a small living area and a comfortably appointed bathroom. We chose this place for 3 things, price, walkability to the Old Town shops and restaurants, and comfort. It checked all 3 marks. Everything was very low key because of the restrictions, so we couldn’t use the little pool, but I’m sure it felt as nice as it looked. If you are looking to stay close enough to walk everywhere while still looking for limited, more modern facilities, then Villa Victor is the place.
Conveniently located to most everything

This is a very quiet hotel just past the historic old town section of St Augustine. You can walk to all attractions easily. The staff was friendly and helpful. The interior is nice and modern, the outside needs a fresh coat of paint and some updated landscaping. There is a parking fee, but it is less than it would cost you to park anywhere else in the vicinity. It was a nice little place for an overnight visit to St Augustine.
