In the last month, we have stayed at Comfort Suites San Angelo twice, and both visits were great. The rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. There seemed to be some construction going on during our stay, but while we could see tarps and plastic sheeting up around certain areas, we never heard a thing. The front desk staff is very friendly, and super helpful. The parking lot is spacious, and was well lit at night, which is an excellent safety feature. Our daughter is attending Angelo State University, and the hotel is very close to campus and other attractions around the city. This will be our go-to place to stay when in town visiting our daughter.

The Comfort Inn provided a beacon of hope during a devastating time. I cannot say enough about 2 exceptional employees who provided comfort, hope and empathy during a horrible time. Miss Jo Jo at the front desk is an incredible young woman and a exemplary professional. She holds her standards high and offers an empathetic ear. Another 5 star employee would be the wonderful Miss Heather in housekeeping. Herself having survived both Hurricane's Katrina and Rita, knew what we survived and was swift to offer a caring ear. These 2 women served as my guardian angels during the aftermath of the storm and I will be forever in their debt. An additional plus was the incredible breakfast! Best I've ever had! Thank you so much, Jo Jo and Heather!!!

It looks nice from outsiders. Our room still had trash in bathroom. Hairdryer didn’t work. Elevator broke down, luckily only for a few hours. All we heard was sorry. I have stayed in 13 different hotels in last 15 days this was not the best. Breakfast was good.

We made a reservation for 3 nights while on a desperate cross country trip to see our Aunt before she died. 2 hours after the reservation was made, she passed and we didn't make it in time to her. I called to cancel the first night, deciding to stop and rest. No refund. No condolences. No apology. Checked in the 2nd night, same front desk person. She remembered the call, the reservation. No condolences. No apology. We've been put in a room next to construction. By a front desk lady with a lack of social graces, and possibly a vendetta. Because as she explained, we're "lucky to get a room, they're full for the night!" My pillow looks like someone laid a tool on it. Don't stay here if you're looking for good customer service or a hotel dedicated to cleanliness.

We have stayed here many times and have always been satisfied, but the last time we stayed here, we brought our dog (which we have done before several times without incident). I will say that our rooms were clean and breakfast is always the best thing about this place. When I signed in, I filled out the form for the dog and paid the $35 pet charge. On the form, I wrote an extra phone number, just to be sure, if there was a problem we could be reached. Long story short...we were at a restaurant several miles away when my husband got the call. The frantic clerk said that the dog had been barking non-stop for an hour and we needed to take care of it. We hurry- not wanting to annoy guests as it was 8:00 at night. On the ride back- five minutes later, she calls again and says that if we didn't get back soon there would be a complaint charge. She told him that a VIP customer had called the manager- at home! Wow- really? We tell her that we are on the way. 18 minutes after the first call, we are back in the room. Next morning we get a bill under the door with a $75 complaint charge. We checked our phones to see what time we were called (since he had been barking for an hour) which they had let him bark for an hour before calling us! I have called and emailed many, many times hoping to resolve this. I have asked to have the dog policy form sent to me so I could see what I signed (not even the exact one I signed- just a copy of what it looks like). Nope- nothing. The response I got was that Angela was looking in to it. I have waited months to write a review because had I gotten a satisfactory response, I wouldn't blast them (HER) with a bad review. The little response I got from her was curt and with absolutely no tact or even attempt to respond. Her staff follows her lead with not an ounce of friendliness or attempt to look like your not bugging them. It seems very unusual for a guest to have the manager's personal number- and if that's the case, why wasn't I called immediately. When we walked in, we could hear the barking in the front lobby. Too lazy to go up and find out what room it was and call us? Keep your $75 - we won't be back!
