Had the whirlpool room #116. PLEASE KILL ALL THE FLIES BEFORE THIS ROOM IS BOOKED AGAIN. Front desk evening clerk DID send in maintenance person to fix messed up room darkening drapes. Still had to use pants hanger with clips to keep light from coming in. There was, messy grouting around whirlpool plus missing grout in bathroom. Not what I expected from Choice Hotel. Calling corporate after I post this with photos. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Morning desk clerk could have cared less about concerns. Breakfast consists of cereal, fruit etc. No hot breakfast.

Awful so do not stay here

First of all, we will never stay at this motel again. We have stayed at this motel a number of times previously and it was great but now it is not maintained at all. Below is a list of the room numbers and all the problems that we had when we stayed there on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Room 312 – Toilet does not shut off and water keeps running. Also, faucet in bathroom is not attached properly to the sink and moves around. Room 216 – Curtain pulled down on right and shade on left not hung totally (both broken). Latch on door to turn does not work well (have to lift up on door to get it to latch). There is no door handle on bathroom door. Toilet runs a little all the time and handle loose that you flush it with. Top spreads on beds has stains on them. I reported these problems to the front desk and gave them a note also with everything written on it. The elevator is filthy too and breakfast was a joke. No drinks of any kind such as coffee or juice and only packages of blueberry muffins and Walmart egg sandwiches with the box on the counter.

Perfect example of a run down hotel with low quality standards.

Like many other hotels, the fact this hotel is located in a decent area of town and that it looks quite attractive on the websites will make many customers think that they made a nice choice booking a stay here with their families, however none of these indicators will reflect the truth of the actual situation that exists at this and many other hotels. The first thing you might see as you arrive at this hotel will be the heaps of unemptied trash and the general unkempt condition of this hotel. The two young ladies at the reception were not apparently aware of what customer service was and one of them was quite rude and dismissive when asked about all the literal piles of trash. The halls, elevator and common areas were all poorly cleaned and or maintained, the indoor pool was terrible, unclean and severely over chlorinated, I suppose in an attempt to make up for the lack of actual cleaning. The stench of chlorine in the pool room was so strong that it rendered the pool unusable by anyone hoping to avoid a hospital visit due to chlorine intoxication. There was a Hindu man working in the laundry room that was giving us the evil eye I'm spite of us not having had any type of interactions with him and the experience was seen as an overall negative one by my family, myself included. There were also exposed electrical wires coming out from beneath our room's AC unit, so we just avoided that side of the room to avoid a possible electrical shock. The condition of this and other hotels makes it clear that city inspectors are not doing their job in San Antonio or that there is corruption involved because these hotel conditions should not pass a health and safety inspection by any means imaginary. Aside from this, our room seemed clean and everything was in working order, including the AC with the protruding wires. We slept nicely and our vehicle was not broken into or vandalized, which was actually surprising to us, considering the absolute lack of security in this hotel. During our checkout after our second day staying at the hotel, the heaps of trash were still not cleaned up, but there was a young man at the front desk that asked about our stay and we politely explained our concerns. He was also very polite, sincere and apologetic about the situation in the hotel, but it was evident it was out of his control and that this was an ownership issue more so than a management issue. This, like many other hotels has come under ownership that seems solely concerned with making money but not at all with the experience their customers have. Fortunately we switched to another hotel which cost just a little more to stay in but which was fantastic, clean, and which had an extremely professional staff and where we will be staying when we come to San Antonio and avoiding any and every Comfort Inn we ever encounter. I recommend you stay clear of this hotel, especially if you're staying with anyone you care about.

Worst Choice Hotel I have ever used.

Pool smelled like fish tank, socks and feet were dirty walking around room. 1 Air filter missing the other near black. No towels, soap, coffee, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and both fridge and microwave had food in it. Curtains would not close because broke. Sheets were dirty, WiFi wouldn't stay connected, no business center, drinks, snacks, or hot breakfast besides stale microwaveable sandwiches. Half the lights in my room out, and A/C wasn't blowing cold. Mold/mildew & holes in bathroom walls & ceiling, and "never" a manager on site. Wouldn't change room. No late check-out. There was more, being there will be no compensation for such a bad experience I'm getting off my soap box.

No “full hot breakfast” as indicated on website, dirty

You walk up to the front doors to overflowing garbage cans, bathroom floor had hairs on it and was dirty, terrible water pressure in the shower, and worst of all, we were looking forward to a “full hot breakfast” like the website says, and there is basically NOTHING. There were basically 2 choices. A blueberry muffin in a package, or a sad little packaged sandwich and a microwave. NOT EVEN COFFEE. The juice machine was all broken except for orange juice. We didn’t even hazard a muffin or sandwich and had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Such false advertising- it is a flat out lie!
