I chose this motel because PETS STAY FREE. I called similar hotels and motels that quoted non refundable fees of $25 to $125; some plus parking. For $50 a night I had low expectations, so I’m not disappointed. A local friend told me it’s not a desirable neighborhood. It’s really not that bad. A few homeless encampments under the freeway. Had to check in through a window perhaps due to COVID-19 or the clerk’s safety. She did say it was safe in the daytime. But I didn’t feel afraid walking back from the Riverwalk at night. Took about 20 minutes tugging two 70 pound dogs. Which again is why I chose this motel. No frills. No fridge, microwave, safe, or even coffee pot. Dated and fairly clean. Yes, I found a couple of human hairs, but I suspect I’ll leave dog hair behind. Other than McDonald’s next door, nothing to eat. But a few TexMex restaurants a couple of blocks away. Parking is also free. You must leave validation on your dashboard to keep from being towed. I’d stay again if I am traveling with my dogs.
Typical Motel 6-ness

What's to say about Motel 6? Oh...nice bed. It was great, I gotta say. And quiet. Easy access to the freeway, too. My mobile hotspot was faster than their wifi, though. A hot shower and a good night's sleep is good enough for me.
Great property, great location

Came to San Antonio to have dinner with some cousins who were visiting from out of state. We chose this location for the reasonable rate and the proximity to the Riverwalk area. The young lady at the front desk was efficient and friendly, the property was nicely updated and very clean and comfortable. We took a cab to the Alamo for under six dollars. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days, we paid $284.00 for those days! The pool wasn’t opened, so we asked to see if we can go inside the pool area and they told us it was closed because it was cold, it was 80 degrees! No shampoo, no conditioner, no tisssue paper, no place to put your close, a few hangers. Not a very safe place, lots of homeless. Lots of noise.
Good to Sleep, Close to San Antonio Attractions

A previous night we stayed at motel 6 splash town (horrible!!!) so we drove to this one ten minutes away and way better!! I mean is a motel 6, not luxury can be expected. However it was decent, clean, beds were good, but the best thing is that a block and a half you have the Market place which is a must see in San Antonio. Then 10 minutes walking distance you have the governos palace (must visit), a block from there you have San Fernando plaza and Cathedral, and if you were to walk from this motel 6 to the alamo it is only 20 minute beautiful breeze walk to it. The river path to walk is only 12 minutes walking distance from the motel. Good location and a place to sleep.
