Charming Hotel

My wife and I made reservations to stay here for the Total Solar Eclipse of 2020. In spite of our travel difficulties to Bariloche due to the pandemic, our good friends from Buenos Aires were able to make the trip. From their experience (and my experience working with the staff, in particular Carla), I have to say that the staff, the setting, the food, and the entire experience at the Charming Lodge are World Class! At this moment in time especially, no detail is overlooked. Kudos for the attention to detail on hotel cleanliness, and to guest health and safety. Many thanks to the Charming Lodge!

An amazing place 10/10 would recommend, especially if you have the deluxe suite with private steam/sauna. A truly unforgettable experience. Stag restaurant and the breakfast was also fantastic with amazing views. Staff was the greatest!

Everything about this hotel made our family vacation just perfect. We stayed in two chalets which perfectly accommodated our extended family. The restaurant had a small, intimate feel, but served outstanding food and felt like part of our family by the end. Everyone took especially good care of our littlest ones, making sure they had exactly the kind of eggs and hot chocolate they wanted, while making sure there was always plenty of champagne at breakfast and the very best Argentine wines at dinner. The staff could not have been more helpful considering we speak no Spanish. They organized all of our ski lessons and rentals and all other outings. This is a very special place indeed. The memory is strong, and I wish so much we were able to return again this summer!!!

My husband and I eloped in Bariloche this past February so we put a ton of time and thought into where we wanted to stay. We were initially torn between Charming and the more expensive Llao Llao down the road. After seeing this beautiful place we could not believe that we had even given it a second thought. From the amazingly friendly and accommodating front desk staff to the stunning lake views, everything was beyond perfect and we didn't want to leave. Upon arrival we were greeted with a complimentary welcome drink which we enjoyed in the sun on the terrace overlooking the lake. We got checked into our room, which came equipped with a luxurious in room spa, and then went for a refreshing swim at the semi-private beach. The staff also went above and beyond to decorate our room in celebration of our elopement. The concierge service was also extremely helpful, booking drivers and bike rentals for us.They also recommended their in house photographer, Betania, who captured gorgeous photos of our wedding day and felt like a lifelong friend. Even if all of these things weren't perfect, I would still stay here just for the view. If you want to relax and be pampered in your own little slice of heaven, stay here!

We have to tell everyone that whether it’s during this crazy Coronavirus or anytime in the future, go. We travel the world incessantly and must say this property is absolutely one of the very best we have encountered through the years for smaller properties. The views of the lake, the food and wine selection ( for value and quality), room quality and last but least, the staff. I would single out one person but that would not be fair to everyone else. Everyone we met were absolutely super. We hope to return sometime in the future and you should, too.
