More about the hotel
Good choice for the price
I only spent one night in the hotel, and yes there is a small elevator. The beds are comfortable, it’s clean hotel, wallpaper could be changed, but otherwise it was a very good choice. The breakfast is sufficient, there are hard-boiled eggs and some what scrambled eggs, and hotdogs, toast sweet breads, and fruit, both fresh and canned. The front desk, and all the employees are very friendly, and willing to help. It is located one block away from the Main Center, Mitre. My room happen to be on the street side of the hotel, and at times it was noisy, but I was so tired, I slept right through it. There is not only a safe in the room, there is also a refrigerator.
Friendly and comfortable accommodations
We spent 3 night here and overall had a pleasant stay. Our room had comfortable pillows and bed. There was a small refrigerator, a safe and a hairdryer. The bathroom had a shower/bath combo. The internet worked well the first few days but was sluggish the last day. Our room was a bit too warm the first night but better after that. There is no air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is the same everyday. The first morning the scrambled eggs were way too undercooked for our tastes. There is a large selection of cold foods for breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located one street away from Main Street downtown. Sometimes you hear noises from celebrations downtown. There is a small elevator. Front desk staff was very kind. Rooms are very clean. The 4th floor room had a nice view of the lake.
Not a good choise
A good location but is old and the staff is unkind . We asked for lower pillows and as it never appears we were in the situation to go ask for it in pijamas att the lobby. And the answer was they didn't have more. For this price there are certainly better choices.
Good in every way
This hotel has a great location just above the main shopping street and close to the national park headquarters. We found all the reception desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious. We enjoyed our 5 nights there and slept well after each day's long hike.
Downtown
Traditional hotel in the hearty of Bariloche, convenient walk to main town attractions - restaurants and lakeside. The hotel is about 100 years old but has been refurbished and extended several times over the years. Rooms are a little on the small side but comfortable. Nice lakeside views from large opening windows in room and good large buffet breakfast. Some parking at the hotel which was good for our motorcycle tour group. Congenial bar area and helpful, multi-lingual staff. Quite a pleasant and comortable stay.
