Dirty, dangerous, management doesn't care

We stayed at Pacific Heights Inn, but we got no sleep. At dark, gang members in noisy cars convened in the parking "court", proceeded to shout and curse. The manager in the office became agitated when we complained about the noise. Within an hour, the manager himself was the one who was yelling! He was raging at another guest who had complained. The manager turned his anger on my husband when we complained after a sleepless night. We wore flip flops in the shower because it was just that disgusting. The hotel wasn't going to give us our second night's money back in spite of the fact that we had endured gang activity, feeling we needed to hid below window ledges for safety and for being berated by the loose cannon of a manager. We finally got our second night's refund back, but the night of fear that we spent at this place was absolutely not worth any amount of money. Your wife and daughter aren't safe here. Your sons aren't either. Just don't go here. Spend a few more bucks, my friend, and stay in a safer place.

We booked a room this weekend for a family of 5. At first we got a room with double beds, but the man at the counter gave us a better one for the same price! It had a king bed and another double bed. It was very clean and a calm place to stay!

We stayed in on July, 2018. We got one of the worst rooms on the second floor, right across from the street. We spent all night listening to cars driving along, besides there were men at work on our first day there at night. The inn has a parking lot, but it's not large at all and some cars have to stay out because there aren't spots for all but it's a safe neighbourhood, no worries about that. However, it was the noisiest room ever after spending nights in 8 other hotel rooms all over California. Be aware of that whenever making your reservation. Those 2 rooms across from the street should definitely have proof sound windows and doors or be banished. We asked the manager to move, but he said all the rooms were full... Too disrepectful 'cause we reserved the room 4 months before...

This is by no means 5 star accommodation but at San Francisco prices, this place provides clean and comfortable accommodation in a good and safe location and at a reasonable price.
Rooms are clean and comfortable but rather small especially as we had 4 to the room. There was little room for our suitcases etc. As a bonus, the room came with a small but separate kitchenette (stove, microwave, fridge, dining table).
Bathroom is small but clean. Shower head was dripping but that didn’t bother us. Soap and shampoo provided.
Location felt safe, even at night. About 10-15 minutes walk from Fisherman’s Wharf.
Complimentary breakfast provided daily - muffins, fruit, juice, tea and coffee.
Staff were friendly, accommodating and welcoming. In particular, we had an issue with our credit card when checking in but they let us check in anyway.
All in all, if you’re looking for simple but reasonably priced accommodation, would highly recommend.
Good neighborhood, so so accomodations

The location is great, especially the free parking. The furniture in the rooms is very old, there are no available plugs for the guest to use. The bathroom is extremely small, but seems to be the only thing that was renovated. The rooms are very small. The refrigerator needs to be defrosted, and maybe just replaced with a new one.
