Great Location

Reviewed 11 september, 2022

This hotel is perfectly located by Fisherman's wharf. We were able to walk the entire area. Rooms were clean and staff was very accommodating - originally given a small corner room for a 3 day stay; easily moved to a nice, standard room

Great option at Fisherman Wharf. Good location to walk to San Francisco locations such as Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard street. Clean hotel and friendly staff made the stay comfortable and amenable. Thia area can be expensive though, but it’s safe.

Far below expectations for a first class hotel

Reviewed 14 august, 2022

I read the reviews and compared this hotel with the other Marriott (Courtyard) at Fisherman’s Wharf. I was willing to spend the extra dollar in order to get first class service. I was wrong. It starts with the valet which didn’t bother to help with my bags or call the bell captain. Receptionist was unfriendly. Every question I had seemed to annoy her. All I wanted was a perfect start for me and my family for our 3 week round trip in California, but clearly this is not the place for perfect. One of the concierges was nice, and one of the servers in the restaurant. The others seemed to be indifferent and miserable. The room however was nice and housekeeping did a good job. Breakfast was only average, you get much better quality in restaurants near the hotel.

Cleanliness

Reviewed 9 august, 2022

Hotel room was extremely clean is one the most important things when choosing a place to stay. We had a city view and appreciated the window opening slightly for fresh air. The hotel is dog friendly and has a bar. There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Walgreens across the street came in handy for drinks and snacks.

For a Marriott, I expected more. The employees were polite but nothing exceptional. The room was at the end of the hall so it was quiet although it was across from the icemaker which did make noise when someone used it. Room was very clean. The safe is in a drawer which is not an obvious place so you need to look for it! The best thing was it was within two blocks from Fisherman’s Wharf so an easy walk. However, as with most of SF there is a-lot of unsavory folks walking around. I did not feel safe walking to find someplace for breakfast alone without my husband ( the buffet was expensive). They charge you a “ resort” fee but there is nothing resort- like about the hotel. There is no pool.
